A numerical controller performs control to rotate a turret, which holds a plurality of tools on the outer peripheral portion thereof, thereby moving one (selected tool) of the tools selected by a command to a predetermined position (selected position). The numerical controller sets and holds a partial area of the outer peripheral portion of the turret as an area (passage-prohibited area) prohibited from passing through the selected position and determines whether or not the selected tool is present in the passage-prohibited area or whether or not the passage-prohibited area passes through the selected position as the selected tool is moved to the selected position.

Coolant coupling device

A coolant coupling device (20) includes: a cylinder chamber (25) provided for a support member (2) for a tool rest (4) in a machine tool and supplied with coolant; a piston (P) movably arranged in the cylinder chamber (25); and a coolant supply flow channel (30) provided for the piston (P) for passing coolant therethrough. The piston (P) is driven by the coolant supplied to the cylinder chamber (25) so that an outlet (32) of the coolant supply flow channel (30) is connected to a coolant inlet port (10) of the tool rest (4) to supply the coolant to the tool rest (4). The piston (P) comprises a cylindrical projection (29) protruding toward and into the cylinder chamber (25), and the coolant supply flow channel (30) has an inlet (34) that opens at an outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical projection (29).

TOOL ATTACHMENT PART, TOOL POST OF MACHINE TOOL EQUIPPED WITH TOOL ATTACHMENT PART, AND MACHINE TOOL
20210162511 · 2021-06-03 ·

A tool attachment part includes an outer holder detachably fixed to a fixed part and an inner holder turnably and integrally supported by the outer holder. The inner holder is formed with a support part (insertion portion Tb) to support a rotatable tool. A drive-force transmission gear is integrally provided on the inner holder. The drive-force transmission gear is detachably engaged with a tool turning drive gear provided on a turret side. The tool turning drive gear is detachably attached to the turret by the fixed part and is engaged with the drive-force transmission gear such that the inner holder turns, and thereby the rotatable tool supported by the support part turns.

Tool rest for machine tool

A tool rest for a machine tool, with a plurality of rotary tools and a tool-rotating drive shaft supported rotatably so that its rotation is transmitted to each rotary tool. The tool rest includes: a plurality of input portions fixed to the tool-rotating drive shaft; and engaging portions corresponding to the respective input portions, rotatably supported and adopted to be driven in rotation by the input portions for engaging with engaged portions of each rotary tool to transmit power when a prescribed rotational phase is reached. Adjusting means is provided between a prescribed input portion and the engaging portion, for adjusting the phase of the engaging portion relative to the tool-rotating drive shaft such that the engaging portions and the corresponding engaged portions are engaged simultaneously.

ROTATIONAL FORCE TRANSMISSION MECHANISM, TURRET TOOL REST, AND LATHE

A rotational force transmission mechanism includes a shaft and an engagement member. The shaft is rotatable about a first axis. The shaft includes a leading end portion having a second groove and a first groove which is configured to receive a rotatable portion of a tool holder so that the shaft rotates the rotatable portion about the first axis. The engagement member is movable along the first axis between a first position and a second position and rotatable about the first axis together with the shaft. The engagement member includes an engagement portion configured to be received in the second groove. At least one of the shaft and the engagement member has an inclined surface that moves the engagement portion in a direction toward the first axis when the engagement member moves from the first position to the second position.

PROCEDURE FOR MEASURING A MEASURED VARIABLE IN A PROCESS STEP OF A MANUFACTURING PROCESS AND MEASUREMENT CHAIN FOR CARRYING OUT SAID PROCEDURE
20230405849 · 2023-12-21 ·

A procedure for measuring a measured variable in a process step of a manufacturing process uses a measurement chain with an evaluation unit and a plurality of measurement units having a sensor, a converter unit and a secondary antenna. The evaluation unit has a primary antenna. A measurement unit is positioned for measuring the measured variable and automatically coupled to the evaluation unit by establishing a transmission connection between the secondary antenna and the primary antenna. The sensor automatically generates measurement signals indicative of the measured variable. The converter unit automatically converts the measurement signals into measurement data, which the secondary antenna automatically transmits to the primary antenna.

Coupling device

A coupling device is for the reversible establishment of a drive connection between a driving unit (13) of a tool turret and a driven unit (46) of a tool receptacle (36) attached to the tool turret and in which a machining tool is able to be received. In a coupling position, a drive shaft (14) of the driving unit (13) is engaged by way of its external toothing (32) with an internal toothing of a driven shaft (44) of the driven unit (46). For a collision-free orientation of the external toothing (32) with respect to the internal toothing, before coupling, an aligning device is used. The orienting device passes through parts of the driven shaft (44) and has a control on one side for the cooperation with the drive shaft (13) and an aligner that is actuable by the control on the other side. The aligner is securable to the tool receptacle.
