In a machine tool, when machining is in a steady zone, a rotation phase of a main spindle at the time of measurement in the N-th sampling is calculated, and the calculated rotation phase and the measurement value are recorded in a recording section so as to be associated with each other. The measurement and calculation of the rotation phase of the main spindle at the time of each measurement are continued for plural times of rotations of the main spindle, and thus the measurement values are obtained at various rotation phases, whereby change in drive force during one rotation of the main spindle is finally calculated.

MACHINE-TOOL SPINDLE COOLING METHOD AND MACHINE TOOL

An object is to provide a machine-tool spindle cooling method and a machine tool capable of suppressing thermal deformation of a spindle while achieving energy saving. To achieve it, a machine-tool spindle cooling method is provided in which bearings (13) and a spindle rotation motor (14) that generate heat with rotation of a spindle (12) are cooled by causing a spindle cooling device (18) to supply and circulate cooled cooling oil inside a housing (11) rotatably supporting the spindle (12), the method comprising deactuating the spindle cooling device (18) to thereby stop supplying the cooling oil in a case where the number of revolutions of the spindle (12) is less than or equal to a predetermined number of revolutions and the temperatures of the bearings (13) and the spindle rotation motor (14) detected by temperature sensors (15, 16) are less than or equal to a predetermined temperature.

Motor spindle

The invention relates to a motor spindle comprising at least one spindle drive which can be supplied with energy and/or operating supplies via at least one feed line. This motor spindle has a fixedly installed first coupling element of a multi-coupling, to the ports of which the feed lines for transmitting energy and/or operating supplies are connected. The invention also relates to a machine tool comprising such a motor spindle, wherein the machine tool has a second coupling element of the multi-coupling. On this second coupling element, the respective complementary ports for transmitting energy and/or operating supplies are arranged.
