AUTOMATIC WET SANDING APPARATUS
20210276149 · 2021-09-09 · ·

To change the direction of water flowing toward a painted surface so as to flow toward the center side of a hood, a water deflecting member is provided that extends toward the center side of the hood while extending toward the painted surface as seen in a state where automatic wet sanding is performed. Thus, water bouncing off the painted surface is less likely to scatter over a wide area of the painted surface, and sanding dust is also less likely to scatter over a wide area of the painted surface. As a result, it is possible to eliminate the need for the troublesome task of wiping off sanding dust remaining on the painted surface, and to achieve a quality finish on the painted surface.

GRINDING DISK KIT, GRINDING EQUIPMENT AND GRINDING METHOD FOR FINISHING ROLLING SURFACES OF BEARING ROLLERS

Disclosed is a grinding disk kit for finishing rolling surfaces of bearing rollers, including a pair of coaxial first and second grinding disks; a front face of the first grinding disk includes a group of radially distributed linear grooves and transition faces for connecting the adjacent linear grooves; a front face of the second grinding disk includes one or more helical grooves and transition faces for connecting adjacent helical grooves; one bearing roller to be machined is distributed in each linear groove corresponding to each intersection of the helical grooves and the linear grooves during grinding machining; the rolling surfaces of the bearing rollers to be machined are respectively in contact with working faces of the linear grooves and the helical grooves corresponding to each intersection; and the bearing rollers to be machined translate along the linear grooves while rotating about the own axes under the friction.

Tip machining method and system

A method of machining a tip profile of a blade for a turbomachine includes coupling the blade to a component of the turbomachine; supporting the component on a machining apparatus, the machining apparatus being configured to remove material from the blade according to a cutting path defined within a coordinate system of the machining apparatus, wherein the component is supported such that a datum axial end face of the component is aligned with a datum of the coordinate system of the machining apparatus; and machining the blade according to the cutting path. A system for machining a tip profile of a blade for a turbomachine accomplishes the method.

System and method for pre-conditioning pneumatic tires prior to mounting same onto a wheel

A tire pre-conditioning system includes a first mandrel, a second mandrel spaced apart from the first mandrel, and a controller in communication with the first mandrel and the second mandrel. The first mandrel is fixedly attached to a first shaft and including a first tapered sidewall. The second mandrel is fixedly attached to a second shaft and including a second tapered sidewall. The controller is operable to axially move the first mandrel and the second mandrel toward one another until the first and second tapered sidewalls are opposing respective beads of a tire, and supply pressurized fluid into an internal cavity of the tire to inflate the tire. The inflating causing the beads to move relative to mandrels while contacting the opposing respective tapered sidewalls to burnish the beads of the tire.

DEBURRING TOOL

A deburring tool (10) for deburring at least one through-hole (24) in a workpiece, the surface (38) of the through-hole (24) to be deburred located on the side away from the deburring tool (10), the tool comprising a main body (12) with a tool shaft (14) and a tool head (16), the tool shaft (14) having a clamping section (16) and the tool head (16) having a guide section (20) with a guide sleeve (22) extending along or parallel to an axis of rotation (36). The tool head (16) comprises at least one flexible fibre (26) with an abrasive surface (28), which is permanently or detachably attached in the guide sleeve (22), the fibre (26) having a free length (L1) and the guide sleeve (22) having a length (L2), the free length (L1) and/or the length (L2) corresponding to at least the depth (T) of the through-hole (24).

TIRE-BUFFING SYSTEM CONSTITUTED BY A ROBOTIZED ARM WITH ANGULAR INTERPOLATION MOVEMENTS
20200247076 · 2020-08-06 ·

Tire-buffing system constituted by a robotic arm (1) with angular interpolation movements with the aim of providing a modular machine capable of allowing greater amplitude of movements. The range of the movement is particularly optimized on the part of the scraping tool (5) which is installed at the end of a robotized arm (1). The buffing system is controlled via a control panel including a controller and the robotic arm is provided with at least three articulations (2) (3) (4) and two arms (12) (13) to approach automatically towards a tire to be buffed. Said tire (7) (8) (9) is supported by a rotary mandrel (6) (10) fixed independently of the robotic arm.

Slipring grinding method

This invention relates to methods and materials for slip ring grinding of a generator rotor, without the need of dismounting the slip ring from the rotor of the generator, and allowing the grinding process to be performed whilst the generator is on full-load operation. As such the methods and materials of the present invention differs from current solution. Whilst allowing on-line grinding of the slip ring, the current solutions require low-speed rotations and accordingly operational shutdown of the generator. Allowing on-load grinding, the present invention greatly shortens the downtime of the generator and to perform maintenance on the slip ring beyond the provided standard maintenance schedule.

Tool Head

A tool head includes a first tool and a second tool disposed circumferentially on the tool head where the tool head has a rotation axis. The first tool of the tool head is an adjustable tool that is axially movable such that an axial position, relative to the second tool of the tool head, is settable.
