In a method for end processing a surface of a shaft-like workpiece, the following steps are performed in the following series, and the workpiece rotates about an axis of rotation: a) finishing the surface with a first finishing tool, b) machining the surface with a scoring tool, whereby the scoring tool produces at least one groove running in a circumferential direction, whereby the at least one groove produces 3 to 12 profiled gorges on a reference segment which reference segment has a length that is predetermined by a measuring method for roughness determination and which is extending on the surface parallel to the axis of rotation, each of said profiled gorges having a depth and width, whereby the ratio of the depth and width of each profiled gorge is greater than 2 and a distance between adjacent profiled gorges is substantially the same,
c) machining the surface with the first finishing tool or a second finishing tool.

An object of the present invention is to provide the diamond polishing device having a function capable of performing polishing even a surface of a semi-closed space such as an inner circumferential surface of a cylinder member or a ring member. The polishing device of the present invention includes a polishing member having a long shape, means for delivering and winding the polishing member, a polishing member support that holds the polishing member to be capable of being wound and displaced, a base to which the polishing member support is attached, and pressing means for pressing the base toward a machining surface of a member to be polished. The base includes an extending section that extends in a direction different from the pressing direction. The polishing member support is disposed at a distal end portion of the extending section.

The present disclosure provides a belt transmission device and a grinding apparatus. The device comprises: a grinding stand; rotation wheels mounted on the grinding stand, including a driver wheel and driven wheels; a grinding belt supported by rotation wheels; a first sensor fixedly provided on the grinding stand and configured to detect a rotation speed of any one of the driven wheels; and a controller configured to control a rotation speed of the driver wheel and connected with a driving motor of the driver wheel, wherein the controller is further connected with the first sensor, receives rotation speed signals of the one driven wheel detected by the first sensor, calculates difference between the rotation speeds of the driver wheel and the one driven wheel, and compares the difference with a predetermined difference range in the controller; and when the difference is beyond the predetermined difference range, an alarm is provided.

While the stainless steel coil is unwound and rewound on the coil winding unit, when the stainless steel coil passes below the at least one pair of surface treatment units, the at least one pair of surface treatment units form the transverse hairlines on the surface of the stainless steel coil.

A second finishing tool is configured to machine an additional bearing which is radially offset from the workpiece axis. A first tool drive is configured to generate an oscillating movement of the first finishing tool in a direction parallel to the workpiece axis. A second tool drive is configured to generate an oscillating movement of the second finishing tool which is independent of the movement of the first finishing tool in a direction parallel to the workpiece axis.
