A grinding device includes a drivable backing pad and a flexible grinding element held on the backing pad by suctioning and is provided with abrasive grains. The grinding device is designed such that the grinding element, in the form of a grinding belt, protrudes circumferentially with respect to the backing pad, the abrasive grains covering the entire area of the grinding element.

BELT SANDER
20210252665 · 2021-08-19 · ·

OBJECT

It is an object to belt sander in which an operation of a lock-on mechanism is facilitated and an unintentional movement during the operation of the lock-on mechanism is avoided.

SOLUTION

A belt sander 1 includes a grip 16, a brushless motor 3, a switch lever 90 and a lock-on unit 100, and a lock-off unit 110. The grip 16 is configured to be gripped by the operator. The brushless motor 3 drives a sanding belt B. The switch lever 90 and the lock-on unit 100 are configured to perform an on-operation of the brushless motor 3, and configured to keep the on-operation. The lock-off unit 110 is configured to perform an on-operation of the brushless motor 3. The brushless motor 3 is rotated by the on-operations of both the switch lever 90 and the lock-off unit 110. The lock-off unit 110 is disposed at a position where an operation is allowed by a hand that grips the grip 16.

Abrasive Belt Device
20230398656 · 2023-12-14 ·

An abrasive belt device includes first and second rollers that accommodate an abrasive belt to define a sanding surface, and a lever usable to modify a distance between the rollers. The abrasive belt device also defines an opening through which the belt passes during installation or removal. In a first lever position, the rollers are separated by a first distance that allows the installation or the removal of the belt, and the opening is not covered by the lever, thereby permitting a portion of the belt to pass through the opening. In a second lever position, the rollers are separated by a second distance, greater than the first distance, that inhibits the installation or the removal of the belt, and the opening is covered by a portion of the lever, thereby inhibiting any portions of the belt from passing through the opening.

Power tools with integrated circuit boards

A power tool which contains a casing, a brushless motor (22) mounted inside the casing, a user actuated switch (38) mounted on the casing, and a circuit board (32) mounted inside the casing. The brushless motor (22) is adapted to drive one or more movable parts in the power tool. The circuit board (32) is mechanically connected to the brushless motor (22) and the switch (38) at the same time. As only a single, integrated circuit board (32) is configured in the power tool, the manufacturing cost is reduced and greater reliance and electrical safety can be achieved.
