Adjustable sanding block
20170095904 · 2017-04-06 ·

An adjustable sanding block that allows for expedited interchanging of sandpaper belts by removing a lateral tension on the belt and reducing the length of the sanding block. A spring loaded heel and a block make up the sanding block, forming a coplanar relationship with opposed inner ends. A rod and spring on the block create a lateral tension against a recess in the heel that retains the belt on the sanding block. The rod and the spring extend from a block inner end, engaging a recess in the heel. The rod passes through the recess, while the spring, having a larger circumference, compresses against a periphery of the recess. This compressive force creates an outward lateral force, which creates lateral tension on the belt for retaining the belt on the sanding block. Applying an inward pressure on the heel removes this tension for mounting and removing the belt.

Cleaning and Drying Device Utilizing Removably-Attached Material
20170086636 · 2017-03-30 ·

A cleaning and drying device utilizing removably attached material that includes a material plate, two material retaining clips, and a handle or hand grip. The two clips are hingedly attached to the plate. When upward pressure is applied, the clips pivot upward from a center point, thereby upwardly-extending an outer edge of each clip. An edge of a material is then inserted between each clip's outer edge and the material plate. When pressure is removed, the two clips are forced downward, thereby trapping the material between the clips and the plate. Once the material is secured, the device can be used to clean or dry a surface. After cleaning or drying, the material is removed and a new material is attached. The material can be any fabric/cloth including rags, old clothing, towels or any other material, thereby precluding the requirement to use special pads or other proprietary materials.
