Sanding apparatus for billiard cue sticks
A sanding and smoothing apparatus for pool cue shafts comprises an elongate resilient main body having generally concentrically disposed resilient radially-inner and radially-outer C-shaped members. The apparatus is sized for mating engagement with the tapered shaft of a pool cue received in close fitting conforming relation with the inner surface of the radially-inner C-shaped member. The inner surface of the radially-inner C-shaped member is provided with a suitable abrasive sanding material, which may comprise a sanding sheet or an abrasive coating.

METHODS OF EDGE FINISHING LAMINATED GLASS STRUCTURES
A method of finishing a laminated glass structure (102) comprising a flexible glass sheet (130) having a thickness of no greater than about 0.3 mm laminated to a non-glass substrate (116) by an adhesive layer (135) is provided. The method includes applying a compressive force against a cut edge (106) of the flexible glass sheet (130) using an abrasive surface (108) of a hand-held finishing tool (105). Material of the laminated glass structure (102) is removed at the cut edge (106) such that a glass edge strength of the flexible glass sheet (130) is at least about 50 MPa.
Method for Manufacturing a Sponge with Inner Soap Capsule
A wash sponge with a pliable, inner capsule that contains soap and has several holes. When the capsule is squeezed it discharges soap into the sponge. The holes, which are in fact cuts made in the sides of the capsule, serve as a kind of valve system that controls the flow of soap from the capsule into the sponge. The cuts are made in such a way that the entire circumference of the hole is not cut, and a flap if formed that remains attached to the capsule. When horizontal pressure is applied to the sponge (and the capsule), the holes open and the soap can flow out into the sponge; however, when incidental, vertical pressure is applied to the sponge (and capsule), the holes do not open significantly and soap does not flow out through the holes.
ERGONOMIC ABRASIVE PAD ASSEMBLY
The abrasive pad is removably affixed to the first end and configured to be easily adjustable by release of a hook and loop connection arrangement affixing the abrasive pad to the plate. The grip end and the abrasive pad end of the plate are separated by a specific angle medial bend which facilitate use of the tool in an ergonomic manner. The tool includes a rectangular plate having a first end wrapped with an adjustable abrasive pad and a second grip end. The plate is in the form of a rectangular, parallelepiped with a medial bend between the first end and second end.
Hand-held conformable sanding block
An elastomeric sanding block conformable to curved or flat surfaces includes a Shore A hardness ranging from about 30 to about 90, and is made from ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, low-density polyethylene or an admixture thereof. The polymer or admixture ranges from about 35 to about 70 percent of the sanding block composition by weight. A blowing agent is present in an amount that ranges from about 1.5 to about 4.5 percent of the composition by weight. The elastomeric sanding block may be formed by combining the polymer or admixture and other components under heat to yield a feedstock, thermoforming the feedstock in a mold to yield a foamed material sheet, and cutting the foamed material sheet.

Nonwoven antimicrobial scrub pad
An abrasive article comprising a nonwoven substrate material impregnated with a first and second formulation. The first and second formulations have broad spectrum antimicrobial effectiveness against one or more microbial organisms. The first and second formulations include the same or different polymer compositions, which include one or more antimicrobial agents and abrasive particles uniformly dispersed in the polymer compositions.
