Knife sharpening apparatus and method
An apparatus and method for its use employ a magnet assembly to securely hold a knife by its blade. Along with a carriage and angle adjustment assembly that set and control the sharpening angle of the knife relative to a sharpening surface, the apparatus provides for sharpening of knives such as double hollow ground reed scraping knives, and bevel reed scraping knives.
Tool clamping assembly and sharpener
A tool clamping assembly and a sharpener are provided. The tool clamping assembly includes an arm body, its first end is connected with a sharpening frame, the arm body is provided with a top pin and a driving member, the driving member drives the top pin to move along an axial direction of the arm body; a clamping arm component, which includes a first clamping arm and a second clamping arm, the two clamping arms are mirror symmetric and are connected by a rotation axis. The rotation axis is connected to a second end of the arm body, and a torque member is provided on the rotation axis. The torque member is used to apply torque to the two clamping arms to jointly clamp the top pin at first ends of the two clamping arms; when the top pin is moved, the two clamping arms can be rotated synchronously.

FIXED-ANGLE SHARPENER AND SHARPENING METHOD
A fixed-angle sharpener which includes a supporting body, an angle block, an angle wheel, an angle fixing assembly and a sharpening mechanism. The angle block is mounted to the supporting body, the angle block can rotate and move up and down, the angle wheel is connected to the angle block, the angle wheel can rotate, and the angle wheel is fixed by the angle fixing assembly after rotating for angle adjustment. The sharpening mechanism includes a sharpening bar assembly, and the sharpening bar assembly is connected with the angle wheel. When the cutter is sharpened by using the sharpener, the angle of the sharpening bar assembly is adjusted and fixed, the angle block can slide up and down during the sharpening process, and in this way, a consistent sharpening angle can be achieved by moving up and down as a whole regardless of a shape of the cutter.

SKATE SHARPENING TOOL
A skate sharpening tool for ice hockey and figure skating applications comprises a housing having a plurality of grooves configured to hold grinding rods in predetermined positions. The plurality of grinding rods are held within the grooves and positioned at an angle of 0.3 to 1 degree off from a skate blade reference plane, for smaller diameter rods to achieve the cutting effect of larger diameter rods. The grinding rods include at least a first rod for roughing operations with diamond grit, a second rod for smoothing operations with finer abrasives, and a third rod for polishing operations comprising porous material such as wood for diamond paste adhesion. A plurality of clamping screws adjust tightness of the tool onto skate blades of varying thickness. The off-angle positioning allows the tool to create multiple blade profiles and Radius of Hollow configurations while maintaining manageable tool size.
CIGAR PUNCH SHARPENER
A cigar punch sharpener with an outer-piece and an inner-piece, each having a generally cylindrical shape. The outer-piece includes an angled cylindrical sharpening wall for sharpening a cigar punch cutting blade while the blade is rotated about the angled cylindrical sharpening wall. A rounded edge located on at least one end of the inner-piece and the angled cylindrical sharpening wall of the outer-piece form a cylindrical cavity tapering to an endpoint. The inner-piece is configured to accept and guide the cigar punch cutting blade to the angled cylindrical sharpening wall as the blade is inserted into the cylindrical cavity. The inner-piece is also configured to maintain or reshape the generally cylindrical shape of the cigar punch cutting blade as the blade is worked on the cigar punch sharpener by twisting the cigar punch within the cylindrical cavity.

Dressing board and shape determining method
A dressing board for dressing a tip end of a cutting blade includes a lower surface to be held on a table and a slanted surface inclined to the lower surface and oriented across a direction in which the cutting blade is movable relatively to the table such that the tip end of the cutting blade moves across and over the slanted surface when the cutting blade is moved relatively to the table.
