A work piece processing tool includes a tool device and a work piece that can be held by a workpiece holder. A servo-elastic actuator system includes a servo actuator and a compliance elastic member that connects one of the tool device and the work piece holder to the servo actuator. The servo-elastic actuator system moves the one of the tool device and the work piece holder toward the other of the tool device and the work piece holder. A locking mechanism engages the one of the tool device and the work piece holder to the servo actuator to limit movement of the one of the tool device and the work piece holder relative to the servo actuator.

A work piece processing tool includes a tool device and a work piece that can be held by a workpiece holder. A servo-elastic actuator system includes a servo actuator and a compliance elastic member that connects one of the tool device and the work piece holder to the servo actuator. The servo-elastic actuator system moves the one of the tool device and the work piece holder toward the other of the tool device and the work piece holder. A locking mechanism engages the one of the tool device and the work piece holder to the servo actuator to limit movement of the one of the tool device and the work piece holder relative to the servo actuator.

A surfboard multitool has a handle with a fin key or screwdriver inserted into one end for storage, and the other end terminating in a brush on the front side and a fin removal tool on the back side. The fin removal tool has two fin grippers that are placed around a surfboard fin in use, and pivoted to remove the fin from its fin box. A fin key or screwdriver is stored in the end of the handle. Between the fin removal tool, brush, and removable fin key or screwdriver, an all-in-one multitool for the most regular tasks in surfboard maintenance is provided.

The present invention provides a modular vise system comprised of a fixed body, a moveable body, and a fixture plate, wherein the moveable body has a wide range of motion which enables it to grab a piece of any size that will fit within the confines of the fixture plate, the moveable body being tightened from the top of the modular vise. Tightening of the modular vise from the top allows for multiple work pieces to be placed along the moving axis of the modular vise which increases workpiece density and machine efficiency. The moveable body of the modular vise may be driven mechanically, electrically, or via a fluid driven actuator such as a pneumatic actuator or a hydraulic actuator.

A pipe fitting stand for supporting a pipe during a work operation includes a table, and a plurality of legs coupled to the table and movable between a deployed position and a stowed position. The pipe fitting stand additionally includes a vise coupled to the table for supporting a first portion of the pipe, and a support positioned on a side of the table opposite the vise upon which a second portion of the pipe is supported. The support is adjustable relative to the table, thereby adjusting the orientation of the pipe relative to the table.

A pipe fitting stand for supporting a pipe during a work operation includes a table, and a plurality of legs coupled to the table and movable between a deployed position and a stowed position. The pipe fitting stand additionally includes a vise coupled to the table for supporting a first portion of the pipe, and a support positioned on a side of the table opposite the vise upon which a second portion of the pipe is supported. The support is adjustable relative to the table, thereby adjusting the orientation of the pipe relative to the table.

A pallet, manufacturing system, and method for transporting and assembling different electrical connectors are provided. The pallet includes first and second jaw assemblies spaced apart from a connector support. The jaw assemblies include jaw plates with gripping edges that form a contoured opening therebetween. As the jaw assemblies move toward one another, dimensions of the contoured opening decrease such that the gripping edges contact and grip an electrical connector placed in the contoured opening. The jaw assemblies are connected to each other by a synchronization device that synchronizes motion of the jaw assemblies and centers the jaw assemblies about an alignment point on the pallet. The pallet accommodates a number of different sizes and/or types of electrical connectors.
