DRIVE ASSEMBLY FOR USE WITH THE HANDLE GRIP OF A CLAMPING DEVICE
A clamp assembly a fixed end support, a movable end support and a handle disposed in one end support or the other. The handle is rotated using an electric tool, such as a drill. A female receiver is disposed within a rearward end of the handle. A male driver is removably held within a chuck of the electric drill and is inserted into the receiver to rotate and then tighten or loosen the support end of the clamp. Alternatively, the clamp assembly has a male portion that is disposed at a rear portion of an end support and a female driver is used to rotate and then tighten or loosen the clamp from the wood pieces. The female receiver and male driver can be used with either a movable end support or a stationary end support of the clamp, as could the male portion and the female driver.
Self-centering dual direction clamping vise with adjustable center support
A vise assembly has a base and a pair of side walls extending from the base and providing guideways. A jaw is configured for guided movement by the guideways. An actuator is coupled to the jaw to cause movement of the jaw. A support supports at least a portion of the actuator. A biasing element is configured to urge the actuator to engage the support.
Clamping fixture, in particular a vice
In a clamping fixture 1, in particular a vice, with a housing (2) in which a guide track (10) is provided and with at least one base jaw (3, 4) to each of which a clamping jaw (6, 7) can be attached, the cavities or air gaps (21) between the inner wall of the guide grooves (10) and the base jaws (3, 4) should be completely covered. This is achieved in that a seal (11) is inserted into each of the air gaps (21) existing in the housing 2 between the base jaw (3, 4) and the inner wall of the guide track (10) as well as in the parting plane between the base jaws (6, 4) and at the face ends (16) in the area of the guide track (10) running there, and that the particular seal (11) is held in a specified position by means of a support strip (12).
Clamping fixture, in particular a vice
In a clamping fixture 1, in particular a vice, with a housing (2) in which a guide track (10) is provided and with at least one base jaw (3, 4) to each of which a clamping jaw (6, 7) can be attached, the cavities or air gaps (21) between the inner wall of the guide grooves (10) and the base jaws (3, 4) should be completely covered. This is achieved in that a seal (11) is inserted into each of the air gaps (21) existing in the housing 2 between the base jaw (3, 4) and the inner wall of the guide track (10) as well as in the parting plane between the base jaws (6, 4) and at the face ends (16) in the area of the guide track (10) running there, and that the particular seal (11) is held in a specified position by means of a support strip (12).
Vise with magnet
A vise for securing a work piece is disclosed which includes a base. A first jaw piece and a second jaw piece can be disposed on the base, at least one of the first and second jaw pieces movable on the base such that the first and second jaw pieces are moveable toward and away from one another. A magnetic assembly can be positioned on the base and configured to produce a magnetic field that extends beyond the base to secure the vise to a magnetically permeable or ferromagnetic work surface. The magnetic assembly can be operable to alternate between an active mode and an inactive mode. The magnetic assembly can produce a magnetic field when the magnetic assembly is in the active mode to secure the vise to a magnetically permeable or ferromagnetic work surface.

A vise for securing a work piece is disclosed which includes a base. A first jaw piece and a second jaw piece can be disposed on the base, at least one of the first and second jaw pieces movable on the base such that the first and second jaw pieces are moveable toward and away from one another. A magnetic assembly can be positioned on the base and configured to produce a magnetic field that extends beyond the base to secure the vise to a magnetically permeable or ferromagnetic work surface. The magnetic assembly can be operable to alternate between an active mode and an inactive mode. The magnetic assembly can produce a magnetic field when the magnetic assembly is in the active mode to secure the vise to a magnetically permeable or ferromagnetic work surface.
Fluid pressure vise actuator
A fluid pressure vise actuator includes a housing and an inner bore of the housing. A piston is disposed in the housing, and the piston is configured to actuate based on a pressure increase in ports of the housing. A gear is also disposed in the inner bore of the housing, and a portion of the gear is adjacent to the piston such that an actuation of the piston is configured to rotate the gear. The gear includes a socket configured to interface with a vise and operate the vise based on a rotation of the gear. The housing also includes adjustable clamping blocks configured to engage with the vise to provide support for the housing during operation. An adjustment of the clamping blocks enables the fluid pressure vise actuator to interface with multiple types of existing vises.
Fluid pressure vise actuator
A fluid pressure vise actuator includes a housing and an inner bore of the housing. A piston is disposed in the housing, and the piston is configured to actuate based on a pressure increase in ports of the housing. A gear is also disposed in the inner bore of the housing, and a portion of the gear is adjacent to the piston such that an actuation of the piston is configured to rotate the gear. The gear includes a socket configured to interface with a vise and operate the vise based on a rotation of the gear. The housing also includes adjustable clamping blocks configured to engage with the vise to provide support for the housing during operation. An adjustment of the clamping blocks enables the fluid pressure vise actuator to interface with multiple types of existing vises.
Clamping Apparatus
The invention relates to clamping apparatus for a workpiece. The apparatus includes first and second jaws, one of which is movable by operator operation of a lever assembly and locking means are provided to selectively lock the movable jaw in position. The locking means can be actuated by the operator's foot thereby leaving the operator's hands free to perform work on the workpiece. An engagement system is also provided in order to allow additional accessory components to be selectively fitted to the apparatus for use in particular work operations.
Clamping Apparatus
The invention relates to clamping apparatus for a workpiece. The apparatus includes first and second jaws, one of which is movable by operator operation of a lever assembly and locking means are provided to selectively lock the movable jaw in position. The locking means can be actuated by the operator's foot thereby leaving the operator's hands free to perform work on the workpiece. An engagement system is also provided in order to allow additional accessory components to be selectively fitted to the apparatus for use in particular work operations.
