This work clamping device including a receiving member which has a first contacting surface which comes into contact with a first circumference position of an outer circumference surface of a columnar portion of a work and a second contacting surface which comes into contact with a second circumference position of the outer circumference surface of the columnar portion, an attraction member which is provided in the receiving member and which is made of a ferromagnetic material or a magnet, a pre-clamping positioning member which is attached to the columnar portion and which temporarily hold the columnar portion to the receiving member by being attracted to the attraction member by magnetic force, and a clamp mechanism which presses the columnar portion temporarily positioned by the pre-clamping positioning member toward the receiving member.

Retention of damping media

An example method of assembling a particle damped gas turbine engine component according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, holding damping media within a cavity of a gas turbine engine component using magnetic force.

Direction-adjustable jig

A direction-adjustable jig is capable of translating an artifact between two mutually perpendicular planes in a three-dimensional space. The jig includes a base, a sliding member, and a hinge member. The base has a pair of side walls each having a first guiding portion. The first guiding portion has a lower guiding portion and an upper guiding portion in communication with each other. The lower guiding portion and the upper guiding portion are formed at different height vertically. The sliding member is disposed reciprocatingly on the base and in between the side walls. The hinge member is pivotally connected to the sliding member and has a pair of second guiding portions for engaging the first guiding portions. The reciprocating motion of the sliding member allows the hinge member to rotate above the base and change its direction.

WELDING FIXTURE AND WELDING METHOD USING WELDING FIXTURE

An embodiment of the present disclosure provides a welding fixture, including: a base; a supporter; a fixing device arranged to fix a member to be welded on the supporter; and a damping hinge which includes a first hinge plate, a second hinge plate and a pivot, the first hinge plate being fixed to the base, the second hinge plate being fixed to the supporter, wherein each of the first hinge plate and the second hinge plate has a pivot hole and is connected to the pivot via the pivot hole, and wherein the pivot is fitted into the pivot hole of each of the first hinge plate and the second hinge plate by interference. An embodiment of the present disclosure provides a welding method using the welding fixture.

Automatic Magnetic Gripper For Non-Magnetic Objects
20180056524 · 2018-03-01 ·

A system for automatically magnetically gripping non-magnetic objects. The system includes a robotic arm, a magnetic actuator, and a free magnetic element. The magnetic actuator may be coupled to an end effector of the robotic arm. A non-magnetic object may be placed between the free magnetic element and the magnetic actuator. The magnetic actuator may magnetically attract the free magnetic element to securely grasp the non-magnetic object therebetween. A corresponding method is also disclosed and claimed herein.

Magnet chuck

A magnet chuck includes, for example, four permanent magnets of a first permanent magnet through a fourth permanent magnet, serving as an attracting and retaining member for attracting and retaining a workpiece. In the first permanent magnet and the third permanent magnet, the magnetic polarity of a workpiece magnetic attracting surface facing the workpiece is of an N-polarity. On the other hand, in the second permanent magnet and the fourth permanent magnet, the magnetic polarity of a workpiece magnetic attracting surface is of an S-polarity. More specifically, in this case, combinations of the N-pole and the S-pole on the workpiece magnet attracting surface are formed in two pairs, and the N-pole and the S-pole, which are of different polarities, are adjacent to one another.

Selective magnet pick-up component

Metal and other magnetized objects are often dropped into hard-to-reach, magnetic-rich places where a retrieval tool will often latch onto the surrounding metal, all but the target object. This makes the retrieval of the target object with an ordinary magnet very difficult or sometimes even impossible. The invention relates to a magnetic retrieval tool with a selectively on/off component, allowing the magnetic force to be exerted only when the target becomes localized. Said magnetic force or field, will be encapsulated either by shielding, or by a second magnet that will neutralize the magnetic field turning the magnet off until the object is reached.

Method and apparatus for automated multi-drilling and multi-rivet machine

Method and apparatus for assembling, with fasteners, components of a structure having an outboard side, an inboard side, and a supporting frame. The components are placed together on the frame. An electromagnet having a core with multiple openings is positioned on the outboard side. A magnetically attractive member is placed against the inboard side opposite and aligned with the electromagnet. When activated, the electromagnet is attracted towards the magnetically attractive member and the two hold the components together. Multiple drill members pass through the openings in the core of the electromagnet and multiple openings are drilled simultaneously through the components. Subsequently, multiple rivets or huck bolts are simultaneously inserted into the drilled openings.

Lens positioning mechanism, lens producing apparatus, and method for producing lens member

A lens positioning mechanism includes: a member holding unit that has a function of holding a second surface of a lens member having a first surface, which is a convex optical surface, and the second surface, which is an optical surface facing the first surface, and biasing the held lens member toward a side of the first surface; and an attitude control unit that regulates edge positions of a plurality of portions on the first surface of the lens member biased by the member holding unit to position the lens member in a predetermined attitude.
