The combination of a driver and fastener that allows a user to insert and remove the fastener by applying larger than normal torque loads to it includes: (a) a fastener with a proximal end handle and a distal end head configured to provide a standard indentation and an additional recess that provides additional surface area that allows larger torque loads to be applied to the fastener, (b) a main driver with a shaft having a central bore, a handle at its proximal end and a head at its distal end configured to allow it to be temporarily inserted into the fastener's head, and (c) an awl driver having an awl shaft with an awl handle affixed to its distal end and its proximal end including a tip configured to allow it to pass through the main driver's bore and be brought into contact with the fastener's head where it is used to cut into the fastener cannula so as to temporarily adhere the awl driver to the fastener.

A fixed adjustable wrench. The fixed adjustable wrench includes a handle having a fixed jaw and an adjustable jaw forming a gap therebetween. The adjustable jaw is slidable along a shoulder and is adapted to cooperate with the fixed jaw to secure an object within the gap. An engagement member having a first set of teeth is configured to selectively interlock with a second set of teeth of the adjustable jaw. A second end of the engagement member is operably connected to a lever that is selectively moveable between an engagement position and a disengagement position. In the engagement position, the engagement member is coupled to the adjustable jaw via an interlocking of the first set of teeth and the second set of teeth. In the disengagement position, the engagement member is disengaged from the adjustable jaw allowing selective positioning of the adjustable jaw.

The described fittings generally include a unitary body having an outer surface and an inner lumen forming a void within said unitary body. The lumen is configured to receive threads for mating with the threads of a female sub end of a pipe or tube. The outer surface includes at least one aperture for receiving a tool that can be inserted within said aperture so as to rotate the fitting about an axis that extends through the lumen of the unitary body. The at least one apertures provide a safe and convenient way to tighten and loosen the fitting during the process of coupling pipe or tubing.

The switching member is rotatably disposed within the second receiving chamber and includes a rotatable member and a projection which extends from the rotatable member. The rotatable member is received in the larger diameter section and the projection is received in the small diameter section. A bottom of the ratchet wrench of this invention is smoothly rotatable and the ratchet wrench effectively prevents the bottom from departing from the main body, which increase durability and efficiency.
