TRANSDUCER FOR MEASURING THE CHARACTERISTICS OF A CLAMPING INSTRUMENT
A transducer for measuring the characteristics of a clamping instrument includes a stator which has an annular support adapted to form a substantially cylindrical longitudinal cavity adapted to receive a rotor which is also substantially shaped cylindrical adapted to rotate inside this cavity of the stator around its longitudinal axis, this rotor being provided at one end with a seat for insertion into it of the head of an instrument of tightening which determines such rotation around the axis, and a sensor arranged on its body capable of detecting specific parameters of the tightening of the instrument, and generating corresponding electrical signals. The transducer includes a magnetic coupling device adapted to transfer electrical energy from the stator to the rotor and an optical coupling device adapted to transfer the electrical signals generated by said sensor means from the rotor to the stator.

A torque limiter can include a housing and a shaft. The housing can include a housing magnet enclosed within the housing. The shaft can be at least partially surrounded by the housing and can be rotatable within the housing. The shaft can include a shaft magnet integrated with the shaft to magnetically couple with the housing magnet to transmit a torque between the housing and the shaft and configured to uncouple from the housing magnet allowing the shaft to rotate within the housing when a threshold torque is reached.

A tool is equipped with a torque sensor, suited for a tightening task of a fastening component of a device such as a fluid control system that requires a large number of fastening components for assembly and has a narrow space for access to the fastening components, and capable of automatically detecting a tightening torque. The tool includes a torque sensor capable of detecting a tightening torque for tightening a fastening component acting on a bit. The torque sensor initiates measurement of the tightening torque when the tightening torque detected exceeds a set threshold value, completes measurement when the tightening torque detected falls below the set threshold value and a set time elapses, and outputs torque-related data formed on the basis of measurement data from measurement initiation to measurement completion and including a measurement time. The torque-related data includes a peak value of the measurement data.

The device includes a driver to rotate one of the elements including the internally threaded element and the externally threaded element to clamp the assembly and a first sensor to measure a screwing torque of the driver, a tool for holding fixed against rotation the other of the elements including the internally threaded element and the externally threaded element, a second sensor to measure a reaction torque of the holding tool, a mechanism for determining a third parameter chosen from a time elapsed from a given time and a screwing angle from a reference position, and a calculation system to determine pre-tension in the externally threaded element.

Torque testing and calibration system
Methods and associated system for calibrating a torque device are provided. The method includes (I) providing a master torque tool having an accepted calibration, (II) attaching the torque device to be calibrated to an input shaft of a testing and calibration system, (III) energizing the torque device to a free spin under a no load and zero torque condition, (IV) performing a run down test by activating a torque engagement mechanism to transferred torque from the torque device to the master torque tool, (V) measuring a torque value from the master torque tool, the torque device, and the rotary inline torque transducer to generate a data set, (IX) repeating steps (IV) to generate a plurality of data sets and (V), and (VI) generating new calibration factors for input into a programmable control system of the torque device based on the plurality of data sets with a software package.
COUNTER-TORQUE DRIVER TOOL
One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a tool driver device that can apply counter-torque to the device while applying torque to a target component that is engaging a target base. The example device can be operated by one hand to actuate a power input component that provides the desired torque, while providing counter-torque to offset rotation of the device. A selectably engaged counter-torque component is selected to complement the target base, to operably hold it in place during use. A power input provides power to apply rotational force to drive a selectably coupled tool, which has been selected to complement the target component engaged with a target base. The counter-torque component is operably engaged with the base, which applies counter-torque to the torque provided by the target component.
Torque Structure
A torque structure includes a first body, a second body, an elastic member, and a locking set. The first body has a receiving chamber. The second body is provided with a drive portion, a plurality of first securing portions, and a first end face. The locking set includes a locking member, a plurality of securing members, a plurality of balls, and a washer. The locking member is provided with a pivot portion, a plurality of second securing portions, and a second end face. The securing members are mounted in the first securing portions and the second securing portions. The washer is mounted on the locking member elastically biased between the first end face and the second end face to space the second body from the locking member. The washer eliminates a gap between the locking member and the second body.
