Apparatus and method for installing grommets in a vehicle
The disclosed subject matter includes an installation tool for sequentially mounting each of a plurality of grommets in an opening of a vehicle panel and related methods. The installation tool can include a receptacle including a case defining a storage space configured to accommodate the plurality of grommets. The receptacle can include an opening in communication with the storage space, the opening configured to hold a respective one of the grommets in an installation position in which a first portion of one of the grommets protrudes through the opening and a second portion of the respective one of the grommets is located in the storage space. A biasing structure can be movably mounted in the case and configured to bias each of the grommets in the storage space toward the installation position.
Windshield removal tool
A windshield removal tool has elongate arm with a claw at its distal end. The device also includes a winch actuated by a motor at the proximal end of the arm. When a cutting wire is positioned along an adhesive bead about a periphery of a fixed glass or panel, the cutting wire is threaded through a puncture in the adhesive bead and attached to the winch. The claw engages a location along the adhesive bead as the winch wines in the cutting wire. A pulley near the distal end of the arm guides the wire. The device may be removed from an initial anchored position and anchored at a new position by removing the claw and placing it at another point along the periphery.
Joint press adapter
A slip-on adapter that is adapted to be coupled to existing adapters that have already been developed. The slip-on adapter couples to existing adapters by positive retention on either the outside diameter or inside diameter of the existing adapter. For example, the slip-on adapter can include an O-ring that grips the outside diameter of the existing adapter that it is slipped onto. The slip-on adapter can also be used as a “flip adapter” with different geometries at both ends for use with two different size ball joints. This allows for less expensive adapters for new size ball joints by connecting to existing adapters, rather than requiring full machining of a new adapter.
PLASTIC CLIP POPPER PLIERS AND METHOD OF USE
A pliers includes a first handle and a second handle. A first jaw is fixed with respect to the first handle and includes a distal tooth, a cone portion, and a blade portion. A second jaw which is fixed with respect to the second handle includes a distal tooth, a cone portion, and a blade portion. A pivot pivotably connects the two handles such that when the pliers are shut, the two teeth are aligned, the cone portions are aligned, and the blade portions are aligned.
CLAW ASSEMBLY OF A PULLER
A claw assembly includes a collar, claws and a synchronizer The collar includes slots. The claws are pivotally connected to the collar. Each of the claws includes a protuberance extending into the collar via one of the slots. The protuberances are movable along the slots. The synchronizer includes a receiving portion for receiving the protuberances. The receiving portion of the synchronizer is movable in the collar between an opening position and a closing position. The synchronizer opens the claws by the protuberances in the opening position. The synchronizer closes the claws by the protuberances in the closing position.
Extendable Wrench Tool
This present invention relates to an extendable wrench and ratchet tool kit comprising a plurality of tool heads, one or more metal shafts or rods, and a metal tube or cylinder including a handle. The extendable wrench and ratchet tool allows an operator to connect any of the metal shafts to the handle at one end and connect any of the tool heads to the shafts at another end. The extendable wrench and ratchet tool kit features a spring-loaded locking mechanism or other similar mechanism to lock the metal shaft or rod at equally spaced grooves in order to selectively extend or retract the metal shaft to a desired length in order to access a fastener positioned in a hard to reach area.
CV AXLE REMOVING DEVICE
A CV axle removing device, including a main body, including a first section to receive at least a portion of a CV axle therein, and a second section removably connected to at least a portion of the first section to receive at least a portion of the CV axle, such that the CV axle is disposed between the first section and the second section, and an attachment plate removably connected to at least a portion of at least one of an inner joint and an outer joint of the CV axle to receive at least a portion of a slide hammer therein.
FOLDABLE TOOL FOR RELEASING A SEMI-TRAILER FROM A TRUCK TRACTOR
The present invention is a system and method for providing a release tool comprised of a metal reinforced webbing that when unrolled is sufficiently strong enough to form a rigid length having one end with a hook that can be extended between the semi-trailer and the truck tractor frame and be attached to the latch mechanism, and having another end with a handle that the user may pull on to disengage the latch mechanism and release the semi-trailer from the fifth wheel, and wherein the release tool may then be rolled up or folded into a compact shape and stored for later use.
Systems and/or devices for managing vehicle repairs
Certain exemplary embodiments can provide a system comprising a frame, which can comprise a backbone, which defines a backbone longitudinal axis. The frame can further comprise a handle coupled to the backbone. The handle is positioned to allow a user to lift and position the frame. An actuator is coupled to the backbone. The actuator defines an actuator longitudinal axis.
Systems and devices for assisted component insertion
An insertion system includes an insertion device including a body defining a longitudinal axis, the body including a wall having an outer surface and an inner surface defining a cylindrical opening through the body, the body having a first body portion and a second body portion formed by separating the body along the longitudinal axis, an effector configured to interface with the insertion device, the effector having an effector body, a first mechanism coupled to the effector body and coupled to the first body portion of the insertion device, and a second mechanism coupled to the effector body and coupled to the second body portion of the insertion device, and an insertion mechanism coupled with the effector body. The insertion mechanism enables a force application at a position offset from the insertion device.
