Liquid-dispensing container with multiple-position selector

A liquid-dispensing container may include a vessel, lid body, valve assembly, selector and/or straw. The selector may be movable between a first position that allows fluid disposed within the container to be discharged through a straw, and a second position that allows fluid within the container to be discharged by inverting and/or squeezing the container. The selector may be movable into a closed position that restricts fluid from being discharged from the container. The selector may be movable into a detachment position that allows for detachment of the selector from a remainder of the container, disassembly of the valve assembly, or both.

In some embodiments, the lid coupler is configured to retain a valve and/or a gasket. In certain embodiments, the straw coupler can be configured to retain a seal. In one embodiment the lid coupler and the straw coupler can be provided with, respectively, a lid coupler hook and a straw coupler hook. The lid coupler hook and the straw coupler hook are configured to facilitate removable coupling of the lid coupler and the straw coupler.

The straws are made by washing the palm tree leaves with a solution of ascorbic acid, 99% ethanol and water, cleaning the palm tree leaves with abrasive sheets, soaking the palm tree leaves, drying the palm tree leaves, heating the palm tree leaves to a temperature selected from a range of 60° C. to 140° C., rolling the palm tree leaves, binding the rolled palm tree leaves using biodegradable food grade adhesive, drying the rolled palm tree leaves.

The first end of the sheet has an uneven shape, such that a straw end of the paper straw corresponding to the first end of the sheet has a non-circular cut. By preparing the paper sheets in a dedicated shape and/or dimension, with pre-cut patterns formed on the end(s) of the sheet, there is no cutting needed after the sheet is wrapped around and forms the paper straw.
