CNC SYSTEM AND APPARATUS
A system and apparatus for Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machines wherein a workpiece is maneuvered about a working surface.
Cart system for securing and transporting a portable tool
A cart system may include a mounting bracket removably attachable to a cart and configured to receive a portable tool. The mounting bracket can include retainers to engage a front portion of the portable tool, and a clamp assembly rotationally attached to the mounting bracket that can engage a rear portion of the portable tool when the clamp assembly is in a locked position, thereby securing the portable tool to the mounting bracket. A cart system may include a rotatable arm with a wheel on a first end and rotationally attached to a cart at a second end. A circular disk having a first pattern fixed to the arm and a moveable plate with a recess having a second pattern that mates with the first pattern, the plate being moveably attached to the cart. The disk can selectively engage the recess to selectively restrict rotation of the arm.
Power tool ski system and method
A power tool accessory for elevating the base of a power tool from off a work surface and a method of use. The accessory or ski comprises a bridge, a first side wall coupled to the bridge, and a second side wall coupled to the bridge opposite the first side wall. The bridge, the first side wall, and the second side wall form an upper surface and an opening through which a power cord may pass. The upper surface is configured to receive a base of a power tool. Because the ski elevated the power tool from off of a work surface, dust, debris, and grit is not brought into the intake of the power tool, the power cord is not kinked, and the base of the power tool is not worn down on the work surface.
Gimbal with enhanced ring assembly for rapid tool interchange
Systems and methods for switching tools in an enhanced ring assembly of a gimbal. One embodiment is a gimbal that includes an outer ring and an inner ring. The outer ring is attached to an arm and includes a first hinge to open and close the outer ring, and also a first latch to fasten the outer ring in a closed position. The inner ring is rotatably supported within the outer ring and includes a second hinge to open and close the inner ring, and a second latch to fasten the inner ring in a closed position.
Compression-held bracket
A bracket for a board that removably couples to a base. The bracket can include a slot at one end and a compression member at the other end. The slot can fit over the base at a first end of the base and can be removed from that end of the base upon removal of the compression member at the other end of the base. The compression member can be removed against a bias such that the compression member applies a bias to the base when the bracket is coupled to the base, and that bias can be removed so as to allow the removal of the bracket. A pegboard or other type of board can be coupled to the bracket with fasteners or other known means.
A CART SYSTEM FOR SECURING AND TRANSPORTING ON A CART ANY ONE OF MULTIPLE PORTABLE TOOLS
A system that can include a cart and multiple mounting assemblies, with each one of the multiple mounting assemblies configured to be interchangeably attached to the cart, and with each one of the multiple mounting assemblies configured to receive one of multiple portable tools and secure the one of the multiple portable tools to the cart. The one of the multiple portable tools is different than a second one of the multiple portable tools.
SAFETY COVER FOR DRILLING DEBRIS EXTRACTION AND TOOL SUPPORT AND A METHOD FOR OPERATING THE SAME
A safety cover and support assembly has safety cover with a first flange and a second flange depending from a top plate, the first flange and second flange shaped to receive and engage geometrical elements of a drill motor. A vacuum extractor extends from the second flange with an inlet aperture positioned adjacent a drill foot of the drill motor. A support attachment extends from the top plate. A support is engaged in the support attachment.
Drill attachment having an adapter component
A drill attachment for engagement and actuation of a drill apparatus having a bifurcated frame defining a first shaft and a second shaft operatively engaged to the drill apparatus at first and second engagement points is disclosed. A handle is pivotally engaged to the first shaft and is operatively coupled to a trigger actuator located along the first shaft through a trigger cable operatively engaged to a trigger actuator the distal end of the first shat that permits remote actuation of the drill apparatus. The trigger actuator includes a pivotable rocking arm having an actuator pad in selective engagement with the drill trigger such that actuation of the handle by the user pivots the rocking arm in a manner that causes the actuator pad to engage or disengage the drill trigger when operating the drill apparatus. The drill attachment is operatively engaged to the drill apparatus through an adapter component having a proximal portion engaged to the drill attachment and a distal portion defining a generally curved configuration adapted to engage the handle of any conventional drill apparatus.
APPARATUS FOR MOUNTING A TOOL TO A VICE
An apparatus for mounting a power tool to a vice, e.g. a vice-cum-workbench such as a Black and Decker Workmate, is disclosed.
The apparatus includes a support that may be releasably attached to or an integral part of the power tool. The support comprises one or more projections that when the tool is placed on top of the vice depend down for retainment by the vice's jaws, thereby rigidly supporting the power tool to the vice.
The projections are retractable, e.g. through a pivoting action, in order that they do not destabilize the tool when it's supported on a surface other than a vice. The projections may be arranged to retract under the weight of the tool upon it.
