Disclosed is a repair unit (10) for a pod (11), especially a laser designation pod, including: a transportable casing (14); a bubble (18) attached to the casing (14), having a retracted state and a deployed state, the bubble (18) including an opening (46) for inserting part of a pod (11) and at least two projections forming tubes (50) for the hands of an operator, each tube (50) opening up in the bubble (18); and a gas supply device (22) for switching the bubble (18) front the retracted state to the deployed state. The casing (14) and the bubble (18) define an inner space sealed from outside pollutants in both the retracted state and in the deployed state.

Resource loading system and method for use in atmosphere-containment scenarios

The invention provides a system for preventing fluid exchange between the interior and exterior of containment enclosures such as process-, hazard-, and research-enclosure systems generally, gloveboxes, containment systems, isolation systems, confinement systems, cleanrooms, negative air systems, and positive air system areas while simultaneously providing material transfer into and out of the enclosures. The invention also provides a method for transporting material into or out of a containment structure.

MAINTENANCE APPARATUS FOR CRYOCOOLER AND METHOD FOR MAINTAINING CRYOCOOLER

A maintenance apparatus for a cryocooler includes a glovebox, a container, and a lid. The glovebox is configured to be joined to a cooling subject coupled to a cylinder of the cryocooler. The glovebox defines a first glovebox chamber that accommodates a cryocooler part excluding the cylinder. The cryocooler part includes a displacer of the cryocooler dismounted from the cylinder. The container is disposed in the first glovebox chamber and configured to accommodate the cryocooler part. The lid is disposed in the first glovebox chamber. The lid is configured to disconnect a cylinder chamber of the cylinder from the first glovebox chamber when the cooling subject is joined to the glovebox.

SECURING OF GLOVED INTERVENTIONS

A safety device for gloved intervention. A glovebox comprises a wall comprising an opening. A light curtain is in the glovebox. Upon acquisition of an object intervening through the curtain, a machine's operation is stopped. The device comprises a shaft extending inside the glovebox along an axis of rotation, an actuation element actuatable to allow axial movement of the shaft, a housing through which the shaft is guided, and a cover fastened to the shaft to a rotational axis. The housing is fastened to a wall. In a closed state, the cover closes the opening and can switch into an open state with rotational movement. The shaft and the housing are coupled to secure against twisting in a prevention position. The shaft is rotatable, in a rotational position, for switching between closed and open cover states. The curtain can detect the shaft and/or the cover in the rotational position.
