Scissor guide
A pair of scissors with at least one protective protrusion extending distally from the arm tip of at least one of the scissor arms is disclosed. The pair of scissors may include a cut-out in each scissor arm adjacent to the arm tip that forms a generally arc-shaped recess. The protective protrusion may be generally spherical or ovoidal in shape and may radiate in 360 degrees from the arm tip.

COMPOSITE COATING ON A CONTACT FACE OF A TOOL
A composite coating is provided for a tool. The tool can be a pair of scissors or a screwdriver for example. The tool is made with at least one contact face. The composite coating includes diamond grains and layer of metal oxidant. The metal oxidant is used as catalyst to secure the diamond grains to the contact face.

Hand-operated ratchet cutter
A hand-operated ratchet cutter with a movable and a fixed handle, wherein the fixed handle forms a first fixed blade, and a movable blade is hinged to an upper end area of the fixed blade, for shearing interaction in a cutting plane with the fixed blade. The movable blade moves in a plane parallel to the cutting plane, and the fixed blade has a first flat side. A fixed jaw with a second flat side (21) facing the first flat side is formed that also extends up to the upper end area of the fixed blade. A passage slot for the movable blade adjusted to the thickness (d) is formed between the first and second flat side, so as to ensure the shearing interaction between the movable and fixed blade even under a load by having the jaw act as a supporting jaw.

Novel Shearing Device
A hand-held device consistent with the present disclosure includes a first member and a second member coupled together by a pivot point such that each member can rotate independently. The first member includes a first handle and the second member includes a second handle on a first region of each member. The area of the second handle is greater than the area of the first handle. The shearing device includes a protrusion on a second region of each member. Each protrusion is disposed at least 65 degrees from the corresponding handle of each member. The protrusion of the first member has a beveled portion above a cutting edge of the first member. During a cutting action, cross-torque force is applied upon the protrusion of the second member by the first member or a cross-torque force is applied upon the protrusion of the first member by the second member.
DISBUDDING SECATEURS
A method wherein secateurs provide shaped blades suitable for cutting the buds on the shoots of fruiting plants. In particular, the method is relative to secateurs with blades shaped for cutting the mother bud and the secondary buds of the shoots of grapevines in a simple and effective manner. The blades of the secateurs have in fact been designed so as to adapt them to the curvature of the cross section of the shoots.
