Portable support for food cutter, systems and methods
A system for cutting food includes a food cutter including feet for mounting the food cutter, a can opener holder comprising a cavity, and a portable support for the food cutter. The portable support includes a substantially planar frame extending in a plane, an attachment device on the frame that connects the feet of the food cutter to the frame, and a shaft protruding from the frame and extending substantially parallel with the plane of the frame. The portable support is releasably attached to the food cutter when the feet are connected to the attachment device, and at least a portion of the shaft is located in the cavity of the can opener holder.
ENVELOPE LINER TEMPLATE
An envelope liner template having a first panel having a pattern inscribed therein and a second panel. The second panel is positioned below the first template and attached by a fastening mechanism. The fastening mechanism is adapted to secure a decorative sheet in place between the first panel and the second panel when a cutting implement cuts through the pattern and the sheet against the second template panel to form an envelope liner.
Self-propelled drive and cutter using same
A self-propelled cutter has a gear assembly to provide both downward and forward force on a material to be cut. A gear assembly includes a drive input gear that engages with a transfer gear and propulsion gear engaged with the transfer gear by a lever arm. The drive gear and transfer gear are coupled and fixed to the cutter body but the propulsion gear rotates about the transfer gear via the lever arm. This gear assembly enables the propulsion gear to move as required to provide both downward and forward force on a material to be cut, such as a cast. A self-propelled cutter may have a drive input that is coupled with a drive input device, such as a crank or an electric motor. A cutter may have a first gear assembly on a first side of the cutter body and a second gear assembly on a second side.

Drywall knife
A utility knife, a blade member for use therewith, and a method of using the same; The knife has an ergonomically designed, symmetrical handle with resilient grips for a user's palm and fingers provided on opposing top and bottom walls of the housing. The blade member has two opposed cutting surfaces aligned with the housings top and bottom walls. A tape engagement clip is provided on a leading end of the knife and secures a free end of a measuring tape to the knife. The knife may be gripped and used in two different orientations located 180 degrees apart. The tape engagement clip pivots to enable the free end of the measuring tape to be secured to the knife regardless of which cutting surface is used to cut an article. Alternatively, the clip may be moved to the opposing side wall of the knife.
Tool for assisting the process of marking or cutting
A tool for assisting the process of marking or cutting structures in a predefined manner is disclosed. The tool comprises a rod member having a longitudinal axis and a plate member rotatably attached to the rod member. The tool comprises an arm removably attached to the rod member and to the plate member. The plate member is rotatably attached to the rod member by means of a structure comprising a joint and one or more magnetic or magnetizable structures configured to provide a magnetic force between the rod member and the plate member.
Monolithic ceiling system
Described herein is a method for forming a monolithic surface in a ceiling system, the method comprising overlapping a first facing sheet and a second facing sheet to create an overlap region, each of the first and second facing sheets having a first major surface opposite a second major surface and side surface extending between the first and second major surfaces, wherein the lower surface of the first facing sheet contacts the upper surface of the second facing sheet within the overlap region, and running a blade of a cutting tool along the overlap region such that the blade extends through the first and second facing sheets at a cutting angle that is oblique to the first major surface of the first facing sheet within the overlap region.

Hamburger templet slicer device and method for cutting a hamburger
A device for cutting a hamburger into a variety of equal size pieces that is both light-weight, portable and easy to clean for use at home or away. The device is an article of manufacture that can be made by existing manufacturing methods using commonly used raw materials, including recycled materials. The device includes extensions connected to a handle by a column and is designed to fit on top of a hamburger with each extension containing a slot to guide the cutting of the hamburger. Notches are included to guide the placement of toothpicks that are inserted into the hamburger before cutting and are used to hold the individual cut pieces together after removing the device. The device addresses the needs of those consumers that may have difficulty eating a full-size hamburger and would benefit from eating smaller pieces, such as the elderly and children.
Non-slip ruler for measuring, marking and/or cutting fabrics and other soft materials and method thereof
A device for measuring and cutting soft materials, wherein the device has a lower section and an upper section, the lower section having a bottom surface and a top surface, and at least one opening extending from the top surface to the lower surface. Bendable means on the upper section, and at least one piercing object carried by the bendable means, wherein the bendable means bends in response to a downward force applied to it, causing the piercing means to move through the opening and engage the soft material, said bendable means being self-retracting so that it returns to a natural resting position when the force ceases to exist, causing the piercing object to disengage from the soft material.
