METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A FOAM MAT
A method of manufacturing a substantially flat foam floor mat is described. The raw materials for each color layer are separately mixed and heated below their foaming temperature in different batches, and separately pressed through heated rollers to form a plurality of unfoamed sheets. The temperature of the rollers are maintained within a range of 5° C. or less. Two or more unfoamed sheets from each batch are stacked together in a press and heated above their foaming temperature to permit the stacked sheets to foam, expand, and heat-weld together. The press restricts the sheets from vertical expansion while allowing horizontal expansion. Once the sheets are foamed, a series of alternating teeth and receiving slots are cut around the boundary of the mat to form an interlocking peripheral wall.
INTERLOCKING MODULAR MAT WITH SPONGE INSERT
An interlocking modular mat having four sides has female connectors on two sides and male connectors on the other two sides so that the modular mat can interlock with an adjacent mat and its connectors. The modular mat is configured with a plurality of structures surrounding a periphery of a top portion of the mat. The plurality of structures in combination with an underside of the top portion of the mat form a cavity. A sponge insert is configured to fit in the cavity and have a height such that a portion of the sponge insert extends from a bottom side the mat body. With the sponge insert extending beyond the bottom side of the mat body, the sponge insert bottom face generally become the supporting bottom of the modular mat to provide a more cushioned feel for a mat user.
Floor Mat with Hidden Base Component
This invention relates to a washable multi-component magnetic floor mat with a hidden base component. The floor mat contains a textile component and a base component. The textile component and the base component are attached to one another by magnetic attraction. The magnetic attraction is provided by incorporation of magnetic particles in both the textile and base components. The textile component is designed to be soiled, washed, and re-used, thereby providing ideal end-use applications in areas such as building entryways. The present invention eliminates the need to wash the base component of the floor mat which results in environmental, cost and labor conservation. Alignment and deployment of the textile component with the base component in an efficient manner is also described herein.

Assisting device for standing tasks
An assistive device for standing tasks allows for a reduction of effort on the part of a user while engaged in tasks or activities that are stationary or nearly stationary that lessens the strain on the bones, joints, and muscles normally used for standing while ensuring a proper alignment of the pelvis and spine.
INTEGRATED MAT ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF USE
A mat assembly includes a center section and four ramps that create a unitary mat assembly for any desired use. The center section includes a top plate that provides the desired kind of mat surface for use and a sponge layer underlying the top plate to provide the center section with a cushioned feel during use. Each ramp includes a flange that extends from an end portion of the ramp, the flange configured to be joined between the top plate and sponge insert. The ramps can be joined to each other using a connector or a mitered connection.
ACTIVE MOTION ANTI-FATIGUE MAT
Provided is an active motion anti-fatigue mat that includes a platform and a base. The platform being positioned at the top of the base and is configured to flex in at least more than one direction in the plane orthogonal to the plane of the platform. The platform is configured to flex by virtue of a plurality of slits cut on the surface of the platform and the thickness of the platform.
MAT LOCKING STRIP AND MAT SYSTEM
A mat locking strip (20) for being attached to an edge portion of a mat (10) and for interconnecting a plurality of mats (10) is provided. The locking strip (20) comprises: a longitudinally extending body (30) having a top side (31) and a bottom side (32), each side (31, 32) comprising a plurality of protruding ridges (34) defining intermediate trenches (36), the ridges (34) having a continuous extension along the longitudinal extension of the body (30); the body (30) having a first end configured to be arranged closest to the mat (10) and a second end configured to be arranged farthest away from the mat (10); wherein the ridges (34) of the top side (31) of the body (30) are arranged opposite the trenches (36) of the bottom side (32) of the body (30), and the trenches (36) of the top side (31) of the body (30) are arranged opposite the ridges (34) of the bottom side (32) of the body (30).
RECONFIGURABLE ABSORPTION MAT
Reconfigurable rapid drying absorption mats. Such reconfigurable absorption mats include multiple connectable, disconnectable, and reconfigurable diatomaceous earth absorption substrates that are both sustainable and designed to instantly remove water from the surface thereof. Unlike traditional synthetic and cotton textile mats that absorb moisture and generate bacteria, according to the rapid drying absorption mats disclosed herein the component diatomaceous earth substrates do not produce mold. Such diatomaceous earth absorption mat components can each include connectable and disconnectable rubberized bottom polymer pads or webbing to prevent slipping and enable for drying of each individual diatomaceous earth substrate from multiple surfaces and sides thereof.
Installation of Multi-Component Floor Mat
This invention relates to installation methods for a multi-component floor mat. The floor mat typically contains a textile component and a base component. Alignment and deployment of the textile component with the base component in an efficient manner is described herein.
