DRAWING DEVICE AND DRAWING METHOD
A drawing device includes a pen fixed to a cartridge, a mover, a conveyer, a processor, and a memory. The memory stores for each classification of each of a plurality of objects, drawing data representing control conditions of the mover and the conveyer for drawing the object, and angle data representing a fixed angle of the pen with respect to the cartridge when drawing the object. The processor receives at least one of the classifications of the plurality of objects, reads out and acquires, from the memory, the drawing data and the angle data corresponding to the received at least one classification. The processor also displays, on a display, fixed angle information corresponding to the fixed angle represented by the acquired angle data, controls the mover and the conveyer on the basis of the acquired drawing data, and draws the object of the received classification on a target object.
POSITIONING JIG
A positioning jig includes a holding portion, a contact portion, and an operating portion. The holding portion holds the cartridge. A portion of the contact portion contacts a writing portion of the pen when the cartridge is held in the holding portion and the pen is held in the accommodating portion. The contact portion is able to rotate with a direction in which an axis of the pen extends as a first rotational axis. The operating portion performs an operation to rotate the contact portion. The contact portion restricts rotation of the pen about the first rotational axis with respect to the contact portion by contacting the writing portion of the pen and positions the pen in a rotational direction about the first rotational axis with respect to the cartridge.
Insulated Wall Panels & Turcotte Sculptor
Insulated, load bearing wall panels are machined from a raw foam slab of foam material. The raw foam slab is loaded into a Turcotte sculptor. The Turcotte sculptor is an elegant 36-axis machine that machines the raw foam slab into one or more insulated foam wall panels. The Turcotte sculptor, in particular, may accept very large 18x4x2 feet slabs of foam material. The Turcotte sculptor then individually commands and actuates any of 36 linear actuators to produce the one or more insulated foam wall panels. The Turcotte sculptor, within minutes, simultaneously machines the raw 18x4x2 foam slab into two (2) 9-feet tall wall panels for 9-feet ceilings. The Turcotte sculptor may easily machine other wall sizes. The Turcotte sculptor thus efficiently and quickly volume produces entire one-piece, single-height insulated wall panels at reduced cost and with outstanding energy performance.
Cutting apparatus
A control unit of a cutting apparatus has a suction checking function of determining that foreign matter is clogged in a suction hole and issuing an instruction on removal of the foreign matter in a case where the value of a pressure gauge before mounting of a cutting blade onto a mount is less than a first predetermined value, and a mounting checking function of inhibiting start of rotation of a rotary shaft in a case where the value of the pressure gauge after mounting of the cutting blade onto the mount does not reach a second predetermined value smaller than the first predetermined value and permitting the start of rotation of the rotary shaft in a case where the value of the pressure gauge after mounting of the cutting blade onto the mount has reached the second predetermined value.
Control of a Cutting Tool
An example system includes a cutting tool and a device configured to remotely control the cutting tool. The device is configured to establish a wireless communication with the cutting tool, and the cutting tool is configured to send a first signal to the device indicating that the cutting tool is enabled to be operated remotely responsive to the cutting tool receiving information indicating that a trigger is locked in an “on” state and a remote switch is in a first position. The device is configured to send a second signal to the cutting tool indicating a request to cause the cutting tool to perform a cutting operation responsive to receiving information indicative of actuation of at least one button of a user interface of the device.
System and method for adjusting the opening of containers to avoid damage to contents
First scanned images of the first container are received from a scanning device that show the contents of the interior of the first container before the first container is cut and opened. Second scanned images that are of the contents of the first container after the first container is cut and opened are also received. The images are analyzed and, based upon the analysis, selective modifications to the operating parameters of the container opening machine are determined and made.
PRECUT PROCESSING OF LOGS
A precut module with one or more profiling heads and/or circular saws may be provided upstream of a saw module. The precut module may be used to implement a portion of a cut that would otherwise be made by the saw module, thereby reducing the depth of cut required at the saw module. In some embodiments, profiling heads may be used to profile a block that is wider than a desired side board. The block may be cut from the workpiece and sent to the edger. This may provide the same or better wood volume recovery and/or throughput speed than profiling the side board or cutting the side board from a flitch. In some embodiments, cut patterns for the precut module and other machine centers may be calculated and/or selected based on a desired depth of cut at the saw module, desired throughput speed, wood volume recovery, and/or other parameters.
Cutting system with registration transfer system
A cutting system for cutting sheets of material can automatically transfer original registration marks or other indicia from one side of the material to an opposite side, in direct alignment with the original registration marks or other indicia. The cutting system includes a cutting station, a feed station, and a registration transfer system between the feed and cutting stations. The registration transfer system includes a camera or other detector that moves in unison with a pen or other marker-type device to respectively detect the original registration marks or other indicia and apply a registration marks or other indicia on the sheets.
Systems and methods for performing a task on a material, or locating the position of a device relative to the surface of the material
Systems and methods of the present disclosure relate generally to facilitate performing a task on a surface such as woodworking or printing. More specifically, in some embodiments, the present disclosure relates to mapping the surface of the material and determining the precise location of a tool in reference to the surface of a material. Some embodiments relate to obtaining and relating a design with the map of the material or displaying the current position of the tool on a display device. In some embodiments, the present disclosure facilitates adjusting, moving or auto-correcting the tool along a predetermined path such as, e.g., a cutting or drawing path. In some embodiments, the reference location may correspond to a design or plan obtained from obtained via an online design store
