AEROSOL-GENERATING DEVICES
An aerosol-generating device (1) includes a heating element (8); a dosing assembly (2) comprising: a cutting mechanism (4) disposed in a cutting region and configured to cut a portion from an aerosol-generating article (20) received by the aerosol-generating device; and a transfer mechanism (6) configured to transfer a cut portion of the aerosol-generating article from the cutting region to the heating element. The cutting mechanism may include a first blade (41) with a first cutting direction and a second blade (42) with a second cutting direction different from the first cutting direction.
WHETTING DEVICE FOR A SLICER COMPRISING A POSITIONING AID
A whetting device is for a slicer. The whetting device has: a whetstone that sharpens a circular blade of the slicer; a hone that deburrs the circular blade; a handle that moves the whetstone or the hone toward the circular blade; and a mount for fastening to a stop plate of the slicer. The mount has an insertion apparatus for being form-fittingly inserted into the stop plate. The mount having a U-shaped plate receptacle, which has a gap for introducing the stop plate into the gap in when the whetting device is pushed onto the stop plate. The insertion apparatus has a lug for engaging in an recess in the stop plate, or the stop plate has the lug for engaging in the recess in the insertion apparatus.
Bread Slicer
A bread slicer includes an infeed side and a hollow infeed assembly positioned in the infeed side, the infeed assembly having an open end and a closed end defining a chamber for receiving bread to be sliced. The bread slicer further includes a pusher for pushing the bread to be sliced along the infeed assembly, and a linkage connected to the pusher, the linkage adapted to move the infeed assembly from a bread receiving position to a predetermined position of a bread path, the linkage adapted to then move the pusher and the bread to be sliced along the bread path from the predetermined position to a delivery area. The bread slicer further includes slicing blades having sharp edges to slice bread moving along the bread path.
SLICING MACHINE WITH BLADE MOUNTING DEVICE
In order to be able to safely remove the heavy and very sharp blade from the machine, which is overhanging when mounted, in contrast to known solutions, the entire cutting unit is not swung out of the machine so far that the blade is easily accessible, but instead the cutting unit together with the blade support and blade drive remain unchanged in position in the machine, and only the blade carrier of a mounting device is brought into contact with the blade.
Then the blade can first be fixed to the protective blade carrier before the connection of the blade to the blade support is released, and then the blade carrier loaded with the blade can be removed from the machine in a simple manner, for example pulled out sideways.
BUNDLE BREAKER HAVING MOVABLE PLATEN AND KIT FOR RETROFITTING BUNDLE BREAKER WITH MOVABLE PLATEN
A bundle breaker including first and second platen assemblies mounted above upstream and downstream breaking supports with first and second actuators for moving the platen assemblies toward and away from the breaking supports and a third actuator for moving the downstream breaking support to perform a breaking operation. The first platen assembly and/or the second platen assembly each includes an upper platen assembly and a lower platen assembly supported by the upper platen assembly, the upper platen assembly including an upper platen and a support for the upper platen and the lower platen assembly including a lower platen supported for movement relative to the upper platen in the vertical direction and relative to the upper platen in the longitudinal direction.
Food processing apparatus and method for sequentially scanning food products
The present disclosure relates to a food processing apparatus with a scanner with a scanning unit for determining properties of a food product, in particular a food bar, with at least two substantially parallel separately drivable conveyor tracks for supplying the food products to the scanner, and with a control unit for controlling the drive of the conveyor tracks. According to the disclosure, the control unit is adapted to separately control the drive of the conveyor tracks to convey at least one food product of a first conveyor track and at least one food product of a further conveyor track sequentially through a scanning area of the scanner. The disclosure further relates to a method for scanning food products.
Thermoform packaging machine with flexible package support
A thermoform packaging machine comprising a forming station, a sealing station, and a cutting station for separating sealed packaging troughs from one another. The cutting station may comprise at least one cutting unit which is adapted to be positioned within the cutting station at different positions in the production direction. The cutting station may comprise a support that supports bottoms of the sealed packaging troughs conveyed into the cutting station for the purpose of separation from below. The support may comprise a plurality of support elements arranged in a horizontal bearing plane and which form a gap at a position in the support at which a cutting operation takes place according to the position of the cutting unit. The gap may be repositioned by moving the support elements to different positions to position the gap to accommodate a different position of the cutting unit within the cutting station.
Knife holders, cutting heads and slicing machines equipped therewith, and processes of manufacture
A knife holder has a base and a knife support portion extending from the base. The knife support portion includes a distal edge and a knife support surface for supporting a knife. The knife support surface includes a shaped portion and a relieved surface. The shaped portion has a wavy shape and is located adjacent the distal edge. The relieved surface does not have a wavy shape and is located on the knife support surface so that at least part of the shaped portion is between the relieved surface and the distal edge. An abutment surface is between the base and the relieved surface and is defined by the relieved surface.
