CARTRIDGE ADAPTED TO SECURE RECIPROCATING BREAD SLICER BLADES
A cartridge adapted to secure reciprocating bread slicer blades including a rectangular frame having a planar surface, the frame having a plurality of pairs of opposed holders, each pair of the opposed holders adapted to releasably secure opposed ends of a corresponding bread slicer blade. The frame is adapted to secure a plurality of aligned bread slicer blades defining a plane offset from the frame planar surface. The frame is adapted to selectively maintain each of the plurality of aligned bread slicer blades in tension.
CIRCULAR CUTTING UNIT AND DRIVE FOR MULTILAYER WIRE
A circular cutting unit for partially cutting one or more layers of a cable or wire along a cutting plane. The circular cutting unit include a knife head including a drive disc and an adjustment disc that are each rotatable about a disc axis. A pair of knife holders that each include a knife blade are pivotally mounted to the drive disc. Relative rotation of the adjustment disc relative to the drive disc causes the knife holders to pivot causing movement of the knife blades toward or away from each other. The circular cutting unit includes a primary drive assembly and an adjustment drive assembly that are each separately operable. The primary drive assembly rotates the knife head at the cutting speed and the adjustment drive assembly rotates the adjustment disc relative to the drive disc.
CUTTING BLADE REPLACEMENT APPARATUS
A cutting blade replacement apparatus includes a nut attaching-detaching unit including a nut holding part that holds a nut and a drive part that rotates the nut holding part. When the nut is screwed to a male screw formed at an end part of a boss part of a cutting unit, one of the nut attaching-detaching unit or the cutting unit moves in a Y-axis direction in synchronization with the speed of movement in the Y-axis direction due to the screwing of the nut, and the other of the nut attaching-detaching unit and the cutting unit escapes in the Y-axis direction when a pressing force equal to or larger than a predetermined value acts on the nut attaching-detaching unit or the cutting unit.
Cutting apparatus
A cutting apparatus includes a chuck table for holding a workpiece thereon, and a cutting unit for cutting the workpiece held on the chuck table. The cutting unit includes a spindle, a mount base fixed to a distal end of the spindle and having an annular coupling face extending around an axis of the spindle and external threads on a distal end portion of the mount base, a ring-shaped ring mount coupled to the coupling face of the mount base and having an annular support surface supporting a surface of an annular base of a hub blade, a coupling mechanism coupling the ring mount to the coupling face of the mount base, and a nut threaded over the external threads of the mount base.
AUTOMATICALLY ADJUSTABLE SYSTEM FOR CUTTING AT VARIABLE NOTCH ANGLES
A knife assembly for cutting a substrate during relative motion between the knife and the substrate, the assembly including a knife having a distal knife blade and a proximal knife shaft attached to a holder rotatable about a first axis perpendicular to the substrate to define a cut direction angle. The holder is also configured to rotate the knife blade about a second axis perpendicular to the first axis to form a notch angle relative to the first axis. The notch angle is preferably automatically infinitely adjustable within a range of angles. The holder may also, optionally, be configured to rotate the knife blade about a third axis perpendicular to a plane defined by the knife blade to adjust an angle of attack of the knife blade relative to the substrate.
DEVICE FOR PEELING FRUITS AND ROOT VEGETABLES
The present invention relates to a device which is for peeling fruits and root vegetables and has the effect of easily removing the entire peel of a fruit or root vegetable at once so that none of the peel remains, and cutting the fruit or root vegetable into multiple pieces.
METHODS OF DETERMINING AND/OR CALIBRATING A CUTTER HEIGHT ON A WEDGE BONDING MACHINE, AND RELATED WEDGE BONDING MACHINES
A method of determining a cutter height on a wedge bonding machine is provided. The method includes the steps of: (a) lowering a wedge bonding tool toward a surface on the wedge bonding machine; (b) determining a first height measurement when the wedge bonding tool contacts the surface; (c) lowering a cutter of the wedge bonding machine, relative to the wedge bonding tool; (d) determining a second height measurement when the cutter contacts the surface; and (e) determining a cutter height using the first height measurement and the second height measurement.
Methods and apparatus to align applique cutters
Methods and apparatus to align applique cutters are disclosed. A disclosed example alignment rail is for use with cutting an applique relative to a surface of a vehicle. The example alignment rail includes a base to contact the surface. The example alignment rail also includes a body including a cross-sectional profile extending along a longitudinal axis of the alignment rail. The example alignment rail also includes a groove of the cross-sectional profile extending along the longitudinal axis, where the groove is to align movement of a cutting tool to cut the applique.
Knife holders, cutting heads and slicing machines equipped therewith, and processes of manufacture
A knife holder has a base and a knife support portion extending from the base. The knife support portion includes a distal edge and a knife support surface for supporting a knife. The knife support surface includes a shaped portion and a relieved surface. The shaped portion has a wavy shape and is located adjacent the distal edge. The relieved surface does not have a wavy shape and is located on the knife support surface so that at least part of the shaped portion is between the relieved surface and the distal edge. An abutment surface is between the base and the relieved surface and is defined by the relieved surface.
