A post-processing apparatus includes: a moving mechanism configured to move a punching apparatus in a width direction orthogonal to a transportation direction of a sheet; and a sensor configured to optically detect a mark formed on the sheet and indicating a position to be punched. The mark is configured such that an interval in the transportation direction between a plurality of feature portions extending in the width direction is configured to be changed depending on the width direction. The moving mechanism is configured to determine a position of the punching apparatus in the width direction based on a difference between respective timings of detection of the plurality of feature portions.

The at least one first and second cutting tools are attached to the base portion and located at a distance from each other, wherein at least one of the at least one first or second cutting tools is supported by a flexible support that is located in the rigid base portion of the first part.

A recording system includes an ejecting unit, a punch unit, and a control unit. The ejecting unit ejects ink onto a sheet transported by a transport unit to form an image. The punch unit forms two through holes aligned in a Y direction with respect to the sheet. The control unit controls ejection of the ink based on image data. When the two through holes are formed in the sheet, the control unit divides a region where an image can be formed into a first region and a second region that is aligned with the first region in a T direction and in which the two through holes are formed. The control unit causes the ejecting unit to eject the ink to form a part of the image in the first region, and causes the ejecting unit not to eject the ink in the second region.

A separating system for separating individual container products from a frame assembly of plastic material, particularly polypropylene, has at least one stamping device (36) that at least partially separates the respective container product from a frame waste. A filter support sheet extruded from a fluoroplastic material includes a base section having spaced-apart ribs extending outwardly from at least one surface thereof. A method includes the steps of: (1) extruding a thermoplastic, fluoroplastic material to form of a sheet; (2) passing the sheet through a nip region provided by opposed rollers; at least one having an outer surface with counter-sunk grooves. Counter-sunk grooves in one roller are aligned with an outer surface or counter-sunk grooves of the other roller in the nip region to form a ribbed sheet having ribs upstanding from at least one surface of said sheet; (3) setting the ribbed sheet and (4) punching apertures through the ribbed sheet in a predetermined pattern.
