A facing building member, a method of forming a facing building member and a method of forming a cladding panel. The facing building member is usable with other building members in forming a cladding panel. The building member has a front face and a rear side, the rear side being profiled by cutting with a water jet so as to provide at least one mechanical key on the facing building member.

A conveyance system 14 carries food products 12 past the scanning system 16 for scanning the food products and generating data pertaining to various parameters of the food products. Thereafter, the food products 12 are transported past a processing station 18 for cutting, trimming, portioning, etc. using a cutting apparatus 20 in the form of a robotic actuator 22 onto which is mounted a dual headed cutter assembly 24 capable of independently and simultaneously cutting/trimming/portioning two separate food products 12, for example, located in side-by-side lanes on the conveyance system or capable of independently and simultaneously cutting/trimming the opposite sides of the same food product.

A method cuts a, in particular flat, workpiece by a cutting beam and a cutting fluid. A workpiece part to be cut away is consecutively cut into at least two smaller portions which fall or are lowered downwards from a surrounding remaining workpiece after they have each been cut away. The division into smaller portions and the execution of the cut for separating the first smaller portion occur such that the point at which the first-cut, first smaller portion is cut away lies within the outer contour of the workpiece part to be cut away.

A method of manufacture of a bread, the bread comprising a pocket and having at least one open edge, the method comprising: preparing a dough; working the dough into a sheet including dusting a surface of the sheet of dough with additional flour; proofing the sheet of dough in a proofing room having a pre-determined humidity level, such that a moisture content of the additional surface flour is increased; cutting the proofed sheet of dough into a plurality of substantially tessellating shaped portions; baking each portion to form a bread, such that steam is generated during baking and forms a pocket in the bread; and cutting each bread into at least two parts, each part forming a pocket bread having at least one open edge, the open edge providing access to the pocket, wherein a secondary opening process is not required to provide access to the pocket.

A machine for separative machining of a plate-shaped workpiece by a processing beam. The machine has a first movement unit for moving the workpiece in a first direction, a second movement unit for moving a processing head in a second direction, two workpiece bearing supports for bearing the workpiece, and a parts chute. The two workpiece bearing supports are separated from each other by a gap that extends along the second direction. The parts chute is movable between a first chute position and a second chute position so as to move a cut-free workpiece part that has dropped into the gap, laterally away from the gap. The machine includes a receiving unit movable in the second direction, to receive the cut-free workpiece part at a transfer position and transport the workpiece part to one or more discharging positions of the machine along the second direction.

In some aspects, material processing head can include a body; an antenna disposed within the body; a first tag, associated with a first consumable component, disposed within a flux communication zone of the body at a first distance from the antenna, the first tag having a first resonant frequency; and a second tag, associated with a second consumable component, disposed within the flux communication zone of the body at a second distance from the antenna, the second tag having a second resonant frequency that is different than the first resonant frequency, where the first and second resonant frequencies are tuned based upon at least one of: i) a difference between the first distance and the second distance; or ii) a characteristic (e.g., shape) of the flux communication zone in which the first tag and/or the second tag is disposed.

The invention features methods and apparatuses for altering a cutting operation during operation of the pressurized liquid jet cutting system. A pressurized liquid jet cutting system includes a pressurized fluid jet cutting head having a plurality of components. The cutting head further includes a sensor configured to sense an operating condition. The sensor transmits a value of the operating condition to a computing device, which alters a subsequent cutting operation. Further, the fluid jet cutting head is configured to work with a data storage mechanism and a reader, such that the data storage mechanism in contact with a body of the fluid jet cutting head is configured to communicate information to a reader of the pressurized liquid jet cutting system. The information is usable to determine a condition of replacement (e.g., a remaining usable life) of the replaceable component, change an operating pressure, change a cutting speed, or alter another operating parameter of the pressurized liquid jet cutting system.

Mist management systems are configured for a processing machine having a portioning station configured to portion a workpiece within an enclosed portioner housing having a first side wall extending along the portioning station, a second side wall, at least one hood portion between the first and second side walls, and at least one end wall between the first and second side walls, using at least one liquid jet cutter and a conveyor configured to move the workpiece in a longitudinal direction beneath the at least one liquid jet cutter. The systems may include a tray secured within the enclosed portioner housing beneath the at least one liquid jet cutter and the conveyor, the tray being downwardly angled and configured to direct a waterjet of the liquid jet cutter toward a low pressure plenum chamber positioned external to the first side wall of the enclosed portioner housing.
