Systems are disclosed for producing audio that is audible outside a collection box for delivery items, the collection box including a user-operated door. The system can include a trigger device, a sensor, an audio transducer that generates the produced audio from an audio signal, an audio chip and one or more processors. The sensor can detect the trigger device when the trigger device is in close proximity, and the one or more processors can be operably connected to the sensor and to the audio chip, where the one or more processors signal the audio chip to send the audio signal to the audio transducer. The one or more processors can further receive and record a status signal indicating that the door is in an opened state. Systems can further include an environmental sensor that measures environmental information.

A mailbox system includes a mailbox body for receiving and storing mail items. One or more receiver units are disposed along an outside facing surface of the mailbox body and function to receive at least one address indicator having a plurality of lighted elements along a front facing surface thereof. An internal controller having a power unit is positioned within the mailbox body. The power unit includes at least one battery and at least one solar cell for supplying the necessary electrical information to the receiver unit and the address indicators. Physical markings are disposed along the address indicator and form address information. When activated, the plurality of lighted elements display address information.

A safe rotatable apparatus for supporting a rural roadside mailbox and for providing a simple, low-cost, highly rugged mounting structure which is less subject to damage due to impact from passing vehicles. The apparatus returns to its original position after a side impact. It is made of a typical mailbox; a top structural member; (c) a manner to connect the mailbox to the member; strengthening gussets attached to an outer sleeve connected to the top member and a way for connecting gussets to the top member; the outer sleeve having an opening for a pivot rod; the pivot rod held to the outer sleeve; an inner post with a rotational “sinusoidal” slice at the top end of inner post and an opening for a locking bar at the bottom of the inner post; the locking bar and a way for ballasting the locking bar such as concrete.

A parcel drop box for receiving a parcel in the presence or absence of a receiver of the parcel. The parcel drop box includes a cuboidal enclosure with an open-top. A lid pivotally covers the open-top and can be lifted for gaining access into the interior of the enclosure. A pair of flaps coupled inside the enclosure to the sidewalls and just below a periphery of the open-top. The flaps can pivot between a horizontal position and a downward vertical position. The lid is coupled to the pair of flaps, such as pivoting of the lid results in pivoting of the flaps. Opening of the lid results in pivoting of the flaps to a horizontal position which restricts the access to the interior of the enclosure from the open-top i.e., the pair of flaps substantially cover the open-top when in the horizontal position.

A vehicular-themed ornamental mailbox includes a storage compartment, a lid, a speaker module, a first ornamentation, a second ornamentation, a third ornamentation, and a fourth ornamentation. The storage compartment includes a top panel, a rear panel, a bottom panel, a left panel, and a right panel thus completing an internal storage area. The lid is hingedly connected to the bottom panel so that the storage area can be closed. The speaker module is connected to the storage compartment and provides a specific sound effect when the lid is opened. The first ornamentation is removably mounted to the top panel. A mail recovery device for insertion into a mailbox, the device structured to adjust to the internal dimensions of the mailbox. A base member of the device rests on top of mailbox bottom surface, a pair of side members are disposed along the side surfaces of the mailbox, and a rear member is disposed along the rear surface of the mailbox. The side members include a plurality of side portions coupled together by a plurality of fold lines, while the rear member includes a plurality of rear portions coupled together by a plurality of fold lines. The fold lines are structured to provide the device with dimensional flexibility so that the size of the mail recovery device may be adjusted to the mailbox internal dimensions.

In a mailbox delivery alert system, a closure abutment secured to an outer end of an arm is pushed by pivoting a mailbox closure from a closed position to an open position, and the arm is moveably mounted relative to a flag intermediate its ends for movement parallel to and at non-parallel angles to the flag height. The moving arm pushes an arm abutment secured to an inner end of the arm against the flag intermediate its ends, with the arm abutment pivoting the flag from a home position to an alert position.

Methods, systems, and apparatus for an automated mailbox system. The automated mailbox system includes a personal device configured to manage a robot. The robot includes a base that forms a foundation for the robot and is coupled to a post. The robot includes a mailbox having a door. The mailbox is configured to receive documents when in the open position. The robot includes a transportation component that moves the robot in multiple directions among multiple locations. The transportation component is configured to move the robot in a first direction to a first location.

A mail receptacle platform is configured to receive and to stack mail, and rotate to collect new mail. The mail receptacle includes a retained mail compartment, a discarded mail compartment, a video camera configured to capture video within a general mail receptacle compartment, an extendible arm including a mail grabber, the extendible arm is connected to an actuator configured to be actuated based on control signals, to place a particular piece of mail for viewing by the video camera, and to sort mail retained by the mail receptacle platform into one of the retained mail compartment and the discarded mail compartment, and a control interface configured to receive control signals and transmit video captured by the video camera. The control interface includes: a receiver, a transmitter and a power source.

An apparatus for receiving and preventing unauthorized access to deliveries has an enclosure, a moveable roof on the enclosure, a rotatable basket within the enclosure, and a connecting member coupling motion of the roof and the basket. The basket is rotatable between an upright and an upside-down position. The roof is moveable between an open position in which the basket is accessible and a closed position in which the basket access is blocked. When the roof is moved to the open position, the connecting member rotates the basket to the upright position thereby allowing a user to place the article into the basket. Moving the roof to the closed position rotates the basket to the upside-down position thereby causing the article to drop out of the basket towards the bottom of the enclosure. The enclosure may open into a chute or building for delivering the parcels to a remote location.
