The present invention provides a chain saw, which includes a housing, a driving assembly mounted on the housing, a guide plate extending outward from the housing, a chain arranged on the guide plate and driven by the driving assembly, and a tension assembly for tightening the chain. The tension assembly includes an operating member and a driving member driven by the operating member, the driving member cooperates with the guide plate, and when a driving force is applied to the operating member, the driving member is driven and the guide plate is moved to tension the chain, and after the chain is tensioned, if the driving force is continuously applied to the operating member, the operating member disengages with the driving member, and the operating member continues to move to compress the guide plate.

A work tool (100) comprising: a cutting chain (110), a drive mechanism for driving the cutting chain (110), an annular member (120) arranged rotatably supported by one or more support rollers (130,140,150), wherein the annular member comprises a rim (230) adapted to support the cutting chain (110) during cutting, and a support wheel (160) arranged distanced from the annular member (120), wherein the cutting chain (110) is arranged supported on a rim segment (102) of the annular member (110) forming part of a cutting area of the tool (100) and supported on a rim segment (103) of the support wheel (160) in a direction away from the cutting area of the tool (100). An annular member and a method of producing an annular member are also disclosed.

A work tool (100) comprising: a cutting chain (110), a drive mechanism for driving the cutting chain (110), an annular member (120) arranged rotatably supported by one or more support rollers (130,140,150), wherein the annular member comprises a rim (230) adapted to support the cutting chain (110) during cutting, and a support wheel (160) arranged distanced from the annular member (120), wherein the cutting chain (110) is arranged supported on a rim segment (102) of the annular member (110) forming part of a cutting area of the tool (100) and supported on a rim segment (103) of the support wheel (160) in a direction away from the cutting area of the tool (100). A chainsaw includes a housing including a handle housing portion, a motor housing portion, and a drive housing portion. The handle housing portion has a cavity extending along a longitudinal axis defining a first axis. A motor includes an output shaft having a longitudinal axis that defines a second axis. The chainsaw also includes a driven gear coupled to the output shaft, a sprocket coupled to the driven gear such that rotation of the driven gear rotates the sprocket, and a guide bar extending from the drive housing portion and having a longitudinal axis that defines a third axis of the chainsaw. The first and second axes define an included angle less than 75 degrees, the second and third axes define a second included angle between 110 degrees and 130 degrees, and the first and third axes define an external angle between 150 degrees and 170 degrees.

A hand-portable garden, forestry and/or construction processing device has a cutting tool, an electric drive motor, a motor operating element, and a control device. The cutting tool is designed for cutting through work. The drive motor is designed for driving the cutting tool. The motor operating element is user-adjustable over an adjustment range from a minimum setting to a maximum setting. The control device is designed for controlling a target speed of the drive motor in accordance with a setting of the motor operating element in at least one first operating mode and one second operating mode. In the first operating mode, the target speed increases over at least one segment from a minimum of 0.5 times the adjustment range as the setting increases, wherein the increase changes over the segment by a maximum of 60%. In the second operating mode, the target speed is a minimum of 0.9 times a maximum target speed of the second operating mode as the setting increases from a maximum of 50% of the adjustment range.
