Pole saw

An outdoor tool includes a powerhead, a tool unit powered by the powerhead, and a shaft assembly extending between the powerhead and the tool unit. The tool unit includes a transmission housing, a support plate, a guide bar adjustably supported by the support plate, a drive gear, and a chain circumscribing a portion of the drive gear and a portion of the guide bar, the drive gear operatively coupled to the powerhead. The tool unit further includes a tension adjustment mechanism for adjusting a position of the guide bar relative to the drive gear to increase and decrease a tension in the chain. The tension adjustment mechanism includes an adjustment screw, a threaded adjustment bolt, at least one adjustment gear, and a member coupled to the adjustment bolt and the guide bar. Rotation of the adjustment screw causes translation of the guide bar relative to the drive gear.

CHAINSAW

A power tool includes a switch moveable between a first position enabling activation of a motor and a second position disabling the motor. The power tool includes a trigger movably coupled to a housing of the power tool between an OFF position and an ON position. The switch moves from the second position to the first position in response to the trigger moving from the OFF position to the ON position. The power tool includes a trigger lock-off pivotably coupled to the housing between a lock position and an unlock position. The trigger lock-off is engageable with the trigger to inhibit movement of the trigger from the OFF position to the ON position when the trigger lock-off is in the lock position. The trigger lock-off allows movement of the trigger from the OFF position to the ON position when the trigger lock-off is in the unlock position.

Chainsaw

A chainsaw includes a chainsaw body, a guide bar and a saw chain. The chainsaw body includes an oil tank, an oil pump to supply oil stored in the oil tank to a sliding portion between the guide bar and the saw chain, a first extension chamber arranged above the oil tank and a second extension chamber arranged above the first extension chamber. The oil tank communicates with the first extension chamber via a first flow path, the first extension chamber communicates with the second extension chamber via a second flow path and a vent hole communicating with the outer space is formed in the second extension chamber.

Chainsaw

A chainsaw includes a chainsaw body, a guide bar and a saw chain. The chainsaw body includes an oil tank, an oil pump to supply oil stored in the oil tank to a sliding portion between the guide bar and the saw chain, a first extension chamber arranged above the oil tank and a second extension chamber arranged above the first extension chamber. The side plate 300 includes an outer face and an inside face 304. Multiple coating materials are provided on respective different surfaces of the drive links 210 or cutter links 240 such that different coating materials are applied based on a wear context of the respective different surfaces.

The present invention relates to an oil pump for use in and attached to a device (e.g., chain saw) having an oil-supplied portion requiring an oil supply. An oil pump supplies lubricating oil to a guide groove of a guide bar in such a manner that a plunger having a gear portion meshing with a drive worm provided on a chain saw reciprocally moves in a pump body while rotating. Two guide pins for positioning an oil pump when attaching the oil pump to a chain saw body are provided on an attachment surface of the pump body to the chain saw body. The two guide pins are spaced apart in an axial direction of the plunger, each disposed on a centerline of a transverse cross section of the plunger.
