Arrangement for replacing a saw chain on a motor saw
The present invention refers to a motor saw arrangement comprising a support plate attached to the motor saw chassis or motor saw motor, a detachable clamping plate and a detachable guide bar arranged between the support plate and the clamping plate. The support plate is provided with two first recesses and at least one threaded hole, while the clamping plate is provided with two protrusions adapted to fit inside the respective two first recesses when the clamping plates is attached to the support plate and the protrusions each have a height that exceeds a corresponding height of the guide bar. The guide bar is provided with two keyhole-shaped slots and with a longitudinal slit between the two keyhole-shaped slots and the support plate is further provided with an alignment means. The invention further relates to a method to remove and/or replace a saw chain from a guide bar and to a guide bar intended and adapted for the motor saw arrangement described herein.
Chain Saw Tensioner and Chain Catcher
The present invention is directed to a chain saw having a chain tension knob to adjust the tension of a chain. The knob is rotated to move the chain bar to increase or decrease the tension on the chain depending on the direction of rotation. The knob is positioned at a forward portion of the chainsaw housing, below the chain bar. The knob acts as a chain catcher so that in case of chain breakage or derailment, it blocks the chain from swinging rearward toward the user and reduces the likelihood of serious injury.

CHAIN SAW
A chain saw, arranged with a guide plate and a chain. The chain saw includes a housing, a drive assembly arranged in the housing, and a fixing assembly tensioning the chain and locking the guide plate. The fixing assembly includes a shield abutting against the guide plate, a knob arranged on an outside of the shield, a tensioning member driven by the knob, a locking member snapped to the shield, and an elastic member disposed between the knob and the locking member. A side of the shield facing the locking member is arranged with a first clamping part, and a side of the locking member facing the shield is arranged with a second clamping part; in condition of the guide plate being locked, the elastic member deforms and abuts against the locking member, causing the second clamping part to snapped to the first clamping part.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF CHAINSAW TENSIONING
A chainsaw including a body including a bar stud extending therefrom; a guide bar including a bar stud slot that receives the bar stud, wherein the bar stud slot has a length, and wherein the guide bar is configured to receive a chain; a yoke having a groove defining a length extending in a direction angularly offset from the length of the bar stud slot of the guide bar, wherein the yoke is coupled to the guide bar; a ratchet gear including a one-way motion feature and a post extending into the groove of the yoke, wherein rotating the ratchet gear in a first direction moves the guide bar to tighten the chain, and wherein rotating the ratchet gear in a second direction moves the guide bar to loosen the chain; and a pawl selectively engaged with the one-way motion feature of the ratchet gear.
