SAW APPARATUS WITH CHAIN RETENTION
A saw apparatus includes a guide bar, a chain driver, and an endless cutting chain trained about the guide bar and the chain driver. The guide bar includes a first chain retention feature along at least a portion of its periphery, and the cutting chain includes a second chain retention feature configured to interact with the first chain retention feature such that movement of the second chain retention feature away from the guide bar is restricted. A timber-working device includes a frame, at least one pair of arms pivotally attached to the frame and configured to be controlled to grasp at least one tree, and the saw apparatus mounted to the frame.
SAW CHAIN PRESETS
Embodiments herein describe presets for saw chains comprised of one or more rivets that are coupled to a tiestrap. Each rivet may further comprise a central flange and a hub protruding from opposed sides from the flange. In some embodiments, the hub may be non-concentric from the flange, and the flange may be non-circular, such as ovoid or cam-shaped. In some embodiments, various portions of the flange, rivet, and tiestrap may be selectively hardened to various degrees of hardness, depending upon their location and usage. In some embodiments, the rivets may be prevented from rotating with respect to the tiestrap using a brazing process, and may be configured to facilitate such processes. Other embodiments may employ a non-circular hub. Still other embodiments may use a low-temperature process for soldering that does not affect the hardness of the tiestrap or rivet.

Utility Chain For Cutting Ductile Materials
A utility chain for cutting ductile materials includes a plurality of cutting links. Each of the cutting links includes a sintered cutting segment, a first side plate, and a second side plate. Each of the sintered cutting segments includes abrading particles embedded in a bonding matrix. The utility chain further includes a plurality of drive links, each of which is connected to a cutting link, and a plurality of connectors, each of which maintains the attachment of a cutting link to a drive link.
Method for producing at least one cutting unit segment of a cutting unit of a machine tool separating device
A method for producing a cutting unit segment of a cutting unit of a machine tool separating device, includes at least one cutter support element and at least one cutter element. In at least one step, the cutter element is molded on the cutter support element by a drawing process in an at least partially staggered manner relative to an outer surface of the cutter support element.
SAW CHAIN FOR THE CUTTING DEVICE OF A TREE-HANDLING DEVICE, A TREE-HANDLING DEVICE, A SAW-CHAIN BLANK, AND A METHOD FOR ARRANGING THE CUTTING OPERATION OF A TREE-HANDLING DEVICE
A saw chain for a cutting device of a tree-handling device, which saw chain comprises links connected to each other by connector elements, in such a way that the saw chain is an endless loop, which can be arranged to circulate in a groove arranged in a guide bar. The links, include tooth links and drive links. The tooth links comprise a cutting tooth which has a cutting edge. In front of the cutting tooth is an empty space up to the next tooth link. The invention also relates to a tree-handling device, a saw-chain blank, and a method for arranging the cutting operation of a tree-handling device.
