Feed rolls having flute assemblies of matingly engageable mounts and flute insert elements
A feed roll comprises a roll having a rotary axis, flutes fixed on the roll, mounts fixed on the roll between the flutes, each mount having a seat spaced apart from the outer surface of the roll and replaceable flute elements detachably and matingly engaged in the seats of respective mounts and extending outward beyond the mounts. The replaceable flute insert element comprises an elongated plate body having an inner longitudinal edge, an outer longitudinal edge, and a backing face extending between the inner longitudinal edge and the outer longitudinal edge and the inner longitudinal edge and the backing face configured to matingly engage the seat of the mount. The flute insert element further comprises the outer longitudinal edge being formed with a traction element and the plate body having a plurality of bolt holes therethrough for registering with the bolt holes of the mount element when the plate body and the seat are matingly engaged.
Method for monitoring the machine space of a processing machine, preferably a moulding machine, and processing machine, particularly moulding machine, for carrying out such a method
In monitoring the machine space of a processing machine during the throughput of workpieces in order to detect workpieces that got stuck, the rear end of a workpiece with reference to the transport direction generates a start signal in the inlet region of the machine space, as well as an end signal in the outlet region thereof by sensors that are connected to a control unit. Beginning with the start signal, the control unit detects a feature that characterizes a theoretical feed travel and generates a release signal if the value of the detected characteristic feature has reached at the time, at which the end signal is generated, a predefined limiting value and not yet exceeded a predefined upper limiting value or if the end signal is generated at a time, at which the value of the detected characteristic feature has reached the predefined limiting value and not yet exceeded the upper limiting value.

Clamping device for an adjustable stop of a processing machine, particularly a moulding machine, and processing machine, particularly moulding machine, with a clamping device
A clamping device for an adjustable stop of a processing machine for guiding workpieces through the processing machine is provided with at least one clamping part that clamps the stop against at least one counter stop. The clamping part is provided on a transmission element, wherein the transmission element is acted upon with a force (F.sub.1) that is converted into a clamping force (F.sub.2) acting upon the clamping part. A release unit is provided for releasing the clamping action. The transmission element is a two-armed lever, one arm of which is acted upon with the force (F.sub.1) in the form of a compressive force and the other arm of which generates the clamping force (F.sub.2).

WOOD PLANING MACHINE HAVING BOTH MANUAL AND AUTOMATIC PLANING WOOD FUNCTION
A wood planing machine having both manual and automatic planing wood function includes a fundamental base provided with a first working platform and a second working platform. The fundamental base has two sides respectively provided with a guide unit, and a wood planing device is combined with the guide units. Thus, when the wood planing device is pushed to move toward the second working platform from the first working platform, the wood positioned on the first working platform will be planed to form a first flat surface. Then, the wood planing device is positioned at the second working platform, and the wood is turned over to have the wood planing device automatically planing the wood to form a second flat surface. Therefore, this invention is able to integrate efficacy of a manual wood planer and an automatic wood planer and enhance safety in use of the wood planning machine.
