The wine float comprises a body, a central hole and a gap such that the gap extends from the central hole, through the body, to the outside edge of the body. The central hole is of a sufficient diameter to allow the bowl of the beverage container to rest in the central hole without allowing the bowl of the beverage container to pass entirely through the central hole. The gap is sufficiently wide to allow the stem of the of the beverage container to pass through the gap but sufficiently narrow so that neither the base of the beverage container nor the bowl of the beverage container can pass through the gap.

A personal flotation system provides a horseshoe shaped float that is buoyant and can be used in a number or positions to float a person on the water and retain a beverage. The horseshoe shaped flotation device has a left and right armrest that extend out from an arced shaped closed end and dual cup holder, on the extended end of the armrest, has an cup cylinder to retain a beverage in the vertical orientation and an end cup holder to retain a beverage in an orthogonal orientation to the cup cylinder. The flotation device may have an extending strap that couples the left and right armrests together to secure the horseshoe shaped float around a person's torso.

A floatation device for a beverage container is configured to have a displacement with a floatation buoyancy sufficient to float the floatation device both empty and while holding the beverage container, whether empty or filled. The floatation device may have a cup-shaped body, a buoyant member (either permanently attached or removably attachable to the cup-shaped body), and a weighting member, with a center of gravity of the floatation device being below a middle point between a base and a top portion of the floatation device. A recreational floating bar apparatus capable of carrying beverages including liquor bottles and drinking vessels having a floatable base. A liquor bottle rack can extend upward from the floatable base, the liquor bottle rack having at least two compartments, each compartment sized to receive one of the liquor bottles. A plurality of drinking vessel retainers can be positioned on the floatable base about the liquor bottle rack. The plurality of drinking vessel retainers can include a first set of drinking vessel retainers having a first size, and a second set of drinking vessel retainers having a second size. The apparatus can be used to store relatively large amounts of beverages to help reduce the need for a user to exit the water to retrieve more beverages.
