20220314582 · 2022-10-06 ·

The invention relates to a material board (1) which comprises a core (2) and a first cover layer (3) and a second cover layer (4), each of which is formed by a mixture (7, 8) formed by lignin-containing particles (5, 6) and binder, which mixture is designed to form a solid body structure in a chemical binding process. The aim is to provide a material panel, which, for ecological and economical reasons, comprises a high proportion of particles based on annual plants and still exhibits good mechanical properties. Another object of the invention can be considered that of ensuring that the system load is kept relatively low during the production process. Another object can be considered that of keeping the proportion of stock removal low. According to the invention, at least 70%, preferably at least 80%, most preferably at least 90% of the particles (5) associated with the mixture (7) of the core (2) are obtained from annual plants, and at least 70%, preferably at least 80%, most preferably at least 90% of the particles (6) associated with the mixtures (8) of the two cover layers (3, 4) are obtained from perennial plants. The invention further relates to the use of a material board and to a method for producing a material board. Finally, the invention relates to a system for producing a material board.

MICROSTRAND INTERFACE LAYER FOR IMPROVED ENGINEERED WOOD PRODUCTS
20230143301 · 2023-05-11 ·

An engineered wood based siding, cladding or panel with a microstrand interface layer (MIL) applied to the top of the main strand matrix layers to minimize telegraphing, add rigidity and strength, and provide an improved surface appearance. The MIL comprises microstrands applied to the surface of the strand matrix or mat during production, prior to deposition of a fines layer. The MIL prevents the loss of fines into the strand matrix, and helps prevent or eliminate strand telegraphing.

Floor board and method for manufacturing such floor boards

A floor board including a decorative surface layer applied to a substrate, where the substrate has MDF or HDF material at a side edge thereof, where the side edge is treated both with an impregnation agent and/or a sealing agent based on a super absorbing material. Also, a method for manufacturing such floor boards.

FIRE-RATED STRUCTURAL OSB PANELS WITH OVERLAID WATER-RESISTANT BARRIER
20230203811 · 2023-06-29 ·

A wood or engineered wood structural panel, such as, but not limited to, OSB (“oriented strand board”) or plywood, that is both fire-resistant and water resistant. The panel is factory-coated with a product that provides fire resistance. The treatment gives it a Fire-Resistant (FR) performance (for use in a one- or two-hour rated assembly). The panel also is overlaid or coated in a factory setting with a weather/water resistive barrier (WRB). The structural panel thus combines a fire-resistant structural sheathing and WRB product in one integrated panel produced at a factory prior for installation at a job site.

Apparatus and system for three dimensional infrared gradient heating for curing powder coatings on porous wood products
09841232 · 2017-12-12 · ·

The present invention has to do with an apparatus for generating a three dimension heating gradient field for curing powder coated wood products. The three dimension heating gradient field is generated with catalytic heater panels having independently adjustable angles and adjustable heat outputs.

A PROCESS FOR PRODUCING A NON-WOVEN GRASS FIBRE PRODUCT
20230182344 · 2023-06-15 ·

A process for producing a non-woven grass fibre product comprises providing a grass fibre biomass obtained by aerobic fermentation of a meadow grass slurry and removal of digestible elements released during aerobic fermentation, mixing and shaping the grass fibre biomass to form a non-woven grass fibre mat, and binding and drying the mat to form the non-woven grass fibre product.

PRINTING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRINTING ON A WORKPIECE
20230182493 · 2023-06-15 ·

A printing device is provided for printing on a workpiece, which preferably comprises at least partially wood, wood fiber containing materials, wood composite materials, veneer, plastic, or a combination thereof. The printing device can include a housing, a holding element arranged on the housing, a print head attached to a first side of the housing, and a first interface. The first interface can communicatively and operatively connect the print head to containers for print media. Further, the printing device can be portable.

Transfer film and membrane coverings for panel products
11673384 · 2023-06-13 ·

A membrane covered panel and a membrane covered panel production method are provided wherein an elastomeric membrane, and preferably, an aqueous elastomeric resin-based membrane, is applied to a finished panel construct, prior to pressing of the membrane covered panel. The method is used to produce panels which can be used in the production of flooring materials, wall panels, furniture, countertops, and the like. The membrane is applied to a transfer film, which transfer film can be removed at any time prior to, or after the pressing operation. The panels produced have a durable but elastic surface which can protect the surfaces of the panel construct. The elastomeric covering on the panel construct also preferably provides a surface which is abrasion resistant, and provides better acoustical properties while providing a soft touch haptic surface.

METHOD FOR FINISHING A WOOD BOARD
20170334088 · 2017-11-23 ·

The invention relates to a method for finishing a wood board with an upper face and a lower face. A layer of liquid synthetic resin is first applied at least onto the upper face or the lower face, and at least one paper ply soaked with a synthetic resin is then applied. The structure is then pressed in a press under high pressure and at a high temperature, wherein the synthetic resin melts and is connected to the upper face or the lower face of the wood board. The invention is characterized in that the upper face and/or the lower face is provided while still having a press skin and in an ungrounded state, and the layer is applied so thinly that the liquid synthetic resin is completely drawn into the press skin, the layer is not actively dried, and the paper ply is positioned on the press skin.
