Tool head and glass or glass ceramic article producible using the tool head
A tool head capable of introducing deep recesses into hard and brittle material such as glass and glass ceramics is provided. The tool head includes a hollow cylindrical abrasive body merging into a hollow shank. The hollow cylindrical abrasive body has an end face with a central abrasive area at the location of a cylinder axis. The central abrasive area is connected with the inner wall surface of the hollow cylindrical abrasive body by at least one web. The end face of the abrasive body, the web, and at least a portion of the outer wall surface of the abrasive body are covered with abrasive. The hollow shank has at least one opening to the interior between the at least one web and the inner wall surface of the abrasive body.
Block positioning tool
A tool for positioning a block on a milling drum having a plurality of welded blocks thereon is provided. The tool includes a longitudinal body. The tool also includes a plurality of arm members extending from the longitudinal body. Each of the plurality of arm members includes a fixture body provided at a distal end thereof. The tool further includes a plurality of fixture assemblies coupled to the fixture body of the corresponding arm member. The plurality of fixture assemblies are adapted to be coupled with corresponding welded blocks of the plurality of welded blocks. Further, at least one of the plurality of arm members and the corresponding fixture assembly coupled to the at least one of the plurality of arm members are adapted to position the block at a desired position on the milling drum relative to the plurality of welded blocks.
Self-propelled construction machine and method for working ground pavements
A self-propelled construction machine comprises a machine frame, at least three travelling devices, at least one hydraulic drive system for driving at least two travelling devices, wherein the hydraulic drive system comprises at least one controllable hydraulic motor with variable displacement volume and at least one hydraulic pump, at least one working device (e.g. a milling drum), for working the ground pavement. A detection device detects fluctuations in the longitudinal speed of the construction machine during movement thereof, wherein a control unit alters the displacement volume of the at least one controllable hydraulic motor as a function of the detected fluctuations so that the natural frequency of the hydraulic drive system is altered, wherein the control unit adjusts the discharge volume of the pump as a function of the amount of adjustment of the displacement volume in such a fashion that the specified drive speed remains constant.
MILLING CUTTING ELEMENT SYSTEM
A cylindrical cutting system, a bit holder assembly, and machine for milling or scarifying road surfaces are disclosed. A bit holder is attachable to a milling platform, and includes an inward facing surface for engaging a corresponding mating surface of the milling platform. The inward facing surface of the bit holder and the mating surface include aligning fastener and pin openings. A fastener and a pin are inserted within the respective openings to couple the bit holder to the milling platform. The mating surface may define a part of a recess formed in the milling platform. A wear element may be disposed at the leading side of the bit holder. Multiple platforms may be coupled together with axially extended platform fasteners.
Milling roller, surface milling machine and method for removal of bonded floor coverings
The present invention relates to a milling drum for removing glued-down floor coverings, in particular wooden floor coverings, preferably parquet floor coverings, in particular multilayer parquet, with a predetermined milling width which determines the width of a floor surface section by running the milling drum over the floor surface section to be machined, having a plurality of cutting plates which are arranged tangentially on the milling drum and which are arranged in a distributed manner on the milling drum, such that, upon a complete revolution of the milling drum, the entire milling width is operable with at least one cutting plate and such that a common width of the cutting plates being in contact simultaneously with the floor surface section to be machined is always smaller than the milling width. The present invention further relates to a surface milling cutter for removing glued-down floor coverings by use of such a milling drum, and a method for removing glued-down floor coverings by use of such a surface milling cutter.
BRICK/BLOCK LAYING MACHINE INCORPORATED IN A VEHICLE
A self-contained truck-mounted brick laying machine can include a frame that can support packs or pallets of bricks placed on a platform. A transfer robot can pick up and move the brick(s). A carousel can be coaxial with a tower. The carousel can transfer the brick(s) via the tower to an articulated and/or telescoping boom. The bricks can be moved along the boom by, e.g., linearly moving shuttles, to reach a brick laying and adhesive applying head. The brick laying and adhesive applying head can mount to an element of the stick, about an axis which is disposed horizontally. The poise of the brick laying and adhesive applying head about the axis can be adjusted and can be set in use so that the base of a clevis of the robotic arm mounts about a horizontal axis, and the tracker component is disposed uppermost on the brick laying and adhesive applying head. The brick laying and adhesive applying head can apply adhesive to the brick and can have a robot that lays the brick. Vision and laser scanning and tracking systems can be provided to allow the measurement of as-built slabs, bricks, the monitoring and adjustment of the process and the monitoring of safety zones. The first, or any course of bricks can have the bricks pre machined by the router module so that the top of the course is level once laid.
Aggregate crushing tool
An improved crushing tool for the processing of aggregates, and a heat treatment method for metals used in the fabrication of such tools, is provided. The crushing tool may comprise an attachment portion having a relatively low material hardness and a crushing portion having, in comparison to the attachment portion, a relatively high material hardness. For example, the hardness of the attachment portion may be in the range of 20-35 HRC, and that of the crushing portion may be in the range of 50-60 HRC. Use of tool-grade steel, such as AISI S7 steel, may thereby result in a tool offering a compromise between the hardness (wear-resistance) of the crushing portion and the toughness of the attachment portion. A heat treatment process for the tool-grade steel may involve distinct heating, quenching, and tempering cycles in order to achievable desirable material properties.
Targeted chemical strengthening of glass articles
Components of an electronic device, such as glass articles, are susceptible to breakage, especially in regions where machining a glass article has created flaws. Chemical strengthening can be performed to create deeper compression layers at regions of a glass article that have been machined, include and/or are adjacent to an edge feature, have greater surface roughness, and/or have more or deeper cracks.
