KITS AND MOLDS FOR PREPARING CURED ARTICLES

A kit for preparing a cured article may include first and second casting compositions configured to form a curable composition, and an additive delivery composition for introducing an additive into the curable composition. The additive delivery composition includes a liquid carrier and at least one additive. The liquid carrier may include one or more of polyvinyl acetate, polyvinyl alcohol, or polyacrylate. A mold assembly for preparing a cured article may include a first mold body defining a first mold chamber and a groove surrounding the first mold chamber. The mold assembly further includes a second mold body defining a second mold chamber and a tongue surrounding the second mold chamber. The tongue is receivable into the groove to secure the first and second mold bodies. The first and second mold chambers together define a mold volume configured to receive and shape the curable composition.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING A DECORATIVE ELEMENT HAVING A FUNCTIONAL OPENING AND DECORATIVE ELEMENT

A method for producing a decorative element and a decorative element with a functional opening, which is intended for a motor vehicle. In the method, a decorative blank which has a through opening and a functional coating is provided. A composite including the decorative blank and the functional coating is also produced by fixing the decorative blank to the functional layer via its fastening side. The through opening of the decorative blank is filled with a filling material, and the through opening is further developed into the functional opening.

METHOD AND FILLING TOOL FOR PRODUCING A DECORATIVE ELEMENT WITH A FUNCTIONAL BODY AND A PLAIN DECORATIVE ELEMENT

A method and a filling tool used to produce a decorative element with a functional body for a motor vehicle. The functional body has a visible side and a rear side. A decorative blank with a visible side, an adhesive side, and an insertion opening corresponding to the functional body and a filling tool is provided. The filling tool includes a sealing unit which corresponds to the insertion opening of the decorative blank. The decorative blank is placed in the filling tool and the functional body is inserted into the associated insertion opening, so that an assembly formed from the decorative blank and the functional body is supported via the sealing unit. A non-destructively removable and fluid-tight fixation is formed between the sealing unit and the assembly on the visible sides. The insertion opening of the decorative cut is filled with a filling material.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING A DECORATIVE ELEMENT, WHICH HAS A FUNCTIONAL OPENING, FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE, AND DECORATIVE ELEMENT

A method for manufacturing a decorative element, includes a functional opening, for a motor vehicle, as well as a decorative element. A decoration blank that includes a visible side and an adhesive side, and an application material layer that includes an adhesive side, and a lamination side are provided. A composite made of the decoration blank and the application material layer is produced by the adhesive side of the decoration blank and the adhesive side of the application material layer being adhered to each other by an adhesive layer. The decoration blank is cut through along a functional opening contour by a cutting element of a cutting machine, and a waste piece is removed, forming the functional opening. The functional opening is filled with a filler material that reacts into a cured state. The opening is at least partially translucent, at least partially transparent, completely transparent, or light impermeable.

Top and bottom ferrous carrier plates have a plurality of pairs of mating insert receptacles in full carrier plates and interlocked partial carrier plates. Pairs of mating nonferrous pre-molded inserts with mating mold cavities insert with a three axis floating fit into mating insert receptacles. Insert contact faces each comprising a flat surface portion having a plurality of mating alignment elements adapted for automatic precision alignment of the mating pair of pre-molded inserts. An injector structure comprising a plunger and pot bushing structure communicates with a pot on each top pre-molded insert. The bushing structure has a solidifying cavity and stripping structure so that retraction of the plunger separates the solidified material from the plunger face for automatic removal of surplus injected material after each molding cycle.

A system and method for producing a comestible baked product in complex shapes using cast molding. Embodiments generally include a first part and a second part, the first part, in some embodiments, being made up of at least two or more component pieces, then, the first part is detachably coupled to the second part creating an outer surface and an inner surface which create a contiguous internal hollow space that extends from the first piece to the second piece in the form of a three dimensional shape, and a means for supporting the unitary mold in a special and beneficial baking orientation. Other embodiments may include a single piece that is attachable to the rim of a cup of a multi-cup baking cup pan or a to a single, stand-alone cup pan. The interior of the mold can receive a baking cup liner.
