Seal molding system

A seal molding system may include a mold body having a mold inner geometry formed complementary to a fitting outer geometry of a fitting. The mold body may have a mold base formed complementary to a panel surface. The mold body may include an injection hole for injecting sealant into the mold cavity, and a vent hole for venting air and sealant from the mold cavity.

CONDUIT CONNECTOR AND METHOD OF CONSTRUCTION THEREOF

A conduit connector and method of construction thereof is provided. The conduit connector includes a body having a through passage extending between open opposite ends and a tubular male port section extending axially to an end face of one of the ends. The tubular male section has an outer surface configured for connection to a tubular conduit and an inner surface bounding at least a portion of the through passage. The end face has an outer annular first surface extending radially inwardly from the outer surface and an inner annular second surface extending radially inwardly from the annular first surface toward the inner surface. The annular second surface forms a counterbore that is recessed axially a first distance from the annular first surface, wherein an annular bead extends from one of the annular second surface or the inner surface, with the entirety of the annular bead remaining recessed below the annular first surface.

Mold for Manufacturing a Midsole for an Article of Footwear

A method of manufacturing a midsole includes placing first and second preforms into a midsole recess of a mold, with first and second portions of the mold defining a first overflow chamber connected to the first recess; closing the mold by positioning the first and second portions in contact with one another; heating the mold for a predetermined period of time at a predetermined temperature such that the first and second preforms melt and bond together to form a midsole, with a portion of each of the first and second preforms flowing into the first overflow chamber to form a first overflow portion; removing the midsole from the mold; allowing the midsole to expand; and cutting away the first overflow portion.

Integral anti-rollback for injection molded tape dispensers

A tape dispenser system includes a monolithic plastic injection molded frame with an integral anti-reverse rotation pawl. To help prevent the free end of a roll of tape from accidentally retracting, falling back, and frustratingly bonding onto the coiled portion of the tape, the pawl engages the inner diameter of a cardboard spool that holds the roll of tape. Strategically located mold parting lines and certain air gaps allow injection molding of a dispenser frame that has two spool-supporting sidewalls plus the integral pawl.

MOLDING DIE AND MOLDING METHOD

A molded product having an annular groove on an outer circumferential surface is molded by a mold. The mold includes three or more mold blocks. Each of the mold blocks includes a parting surface, a concave surface for molding a part of the outer circumferential surface, and a projection for molding a part of the annular groove. In each of the mold blocks, the parting surface extends in a direction of a normal line of the concave surface at a position where the parting surface and the concave surface intersect to each other.

Wind turbine blade with lightning protection

A method of making a wind turbine blade (10) having a metallic lightning receptor (110) is described. The method comprises configuring a wind turbine blade (10) mold assembly (100) such that a clearance region (120) is defined between a mold surface (116) of at least one mold half (112, 114) and a majority of a metallic lightning receptor component (110) when the mold assembly (100) is closed, such that contact between that mold half (112, 114) and the metallic lightning receptor component (110) is substantially avoided. In certain embodiments of the invention, one or both mold halves (112, 114) are truncated such that the metallic lightning receptor component (110) projects from the mold (100) when the mold (100) is closed.

Rollback preventer for injection molded tape dispensers

A tape dispenser includes a plastic injection molded frame with a resiliently flexible finger that helps prevent the free end of a roll of tape from accidentally retracting, falling back, and frustratingly sticking to the coiled portion of the tape. To avoid this problem, a distal end of the finger presses against the inner diameter of a cardboard or plastic spool about which the tape is wrapped. Friction between the finger's distal end and the spool's inner diameter inhibits reverse rotation of the spool. To avoid breaking the finger while forcefully loading the roll of tape into the dispenser during assembly, a lateral backstop surface on the dispenser prevents the spool from bending the finger too far in a laterally outward direction. To avoid breaking the finger during subsequent rough use, another backstop surface prevents the spool from bending the finger too far in a radially downward direction.

Moulding machines

A moulding machine suitable for producing an article having two or more parts, the moulding machine comprising two or more mould sections for respective article parts and an in-mould pick and place mean. A moulding machine including one or more moulds and a robot pick-and-place system, in which the robot pick-and-place system is fixed to a mould. A method of forming an article having two or more parts, in which a first part of the article is moulded in a first mould section of a moulding machine comprising two or more mould sections for respective article parts and an in-mould pick and place means, and the in-mould pick and place means moves a moulded first part of the article from the first mould section to a second mould section of the two or more mould sections.
