A functional polymeric cutting edge structure and methods for manufacturing cutting edge structures using polymeric materials are provided. A razor blade for use in a razor cartridge or a blade box for assembly in a razor cartridge frame may be formed using the present invention.

Tooling for use in a method for electromagnetic welding of molded parts, and method for manufacturing the tooling

A tooling for use in a method for electromagnetic welding of two contacted surfaces of molded parts. The tooling includes a rubber body and pressurizing means for pressurizing the rubber body and applying pressure to the contacted surfaces. The rubber body includes an embedded stiff body shaped such as to define different rubber body thicknesses in different directions, which causes a different pressure build-up in the different directions. A method for manufacturing the tooling. The tooling may be used in electromagnetic welding of two contacted surfaces of molded parts by moving a joining inductor along the contacted surfaces, generating an electromagnetic field in an induction-sensitive component of the molded parts to heat a thermally activated coupling means of the molded parts to above a melting temperature of the coupling means.

Microneedle, mold for production of microneedle array, and production method of microneedle array using same

The present invention includes producing a preliminary mold (10-1 or 20-1) provided with two-dimensional patterns (111 or 211) having a shape of a microneedle array (30) therein; producing microneedle array molds (10 and 10-2 or 20 and 20-2) having a three-dimensional shape by expanding air inside the patterns (111 or 211) having a two-dimensional shape to deform the patterns (111 or 211) having the two-dimensional shape into molds having the three-dimensional shape; and after pouring a biodegradable resin into the microneedle array molds (10 and 10-2 or 20 and 20-2) and solidifying the biodegradable resin, completing the microneedle array (30) by removing the microneedle array molds (10 and 10-2 or 20 and 20-2), thereby providing a mold for production of a microneedle array and a production method of the microneedle array using the same capable of tightly suturing an affected area without inducing pain.

REGISTER BOX ADAPTABLE TO DUCTWORK OF AN HVAC SYSTEM
20230121739 · 2023-04-20 ·

A register box for an HVAC installation has a body with a plurality of side panels arranged in a generally rectangular or square configuration and a wall extending in generally transverse relation to the plurality of side panels, and an expandable polymeric material affixed to an inner side of the side panels and across the wall. The wall has a plurality of concentric circular areas cut into the wall. Each of the concentric areas is formed of a first partial circle having ends in spaced relation to a second partial circle. The circular area can be removed from the wall so as to allow a user to cut through the polymeric material at the wall so as to form a hole opening to an interior of the register box. This hole can receive a collar therein. The collar can be connected to the HVAC system.

LOW-COST, HIGH-VOLUME PRODUCTION METHOD FOR AEROGEL MONOLITH PRODUCTION IN AUTOMOTIVE APPLICATIONS
20230111164 · 2023-04-13 · ·

A method of producing a plurality of parts includes placing a sol mixture into a cavity of a tool, optionally placing a metal foil over a top of the cavity and placing a graphite gasket over the metal foil, and securing the tool with the sol mixture to form a tooling capsule. Tooling capsules are placed within a conveyor system and are heated until the solvent of the sol mixture reaches at least supercritical conditions of the solvent. Pressure is released within each of the tooling capsules after the supercritical conditions are reached, and then the tooling capsules are cooled to approximately room temperature. The parts are removed from the tooling capsules, and the method is continuous.
