The method for producing a shaped article includes: heating a sheet of crystallizable polylactic acid (PLA)-based resin having a ratio of cold crystallization over total melting enthalpy (ΔHcc/ΔHm) greater than 0.70 as determined by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), wherein heating includes a heating step the sheet is heated from a surface temperature of at most 80° C. to a surface temperature of at least 90° C. to at most 150° C. at heating rate of 5° C. to 25° C. per second, to provide heated sheet having a ratio of cold crystallization over total melting enthalpy (ΔHcc/ΔHm) greater than 0.5 as determined by DSC; and immediately after heating, forming heated sheet to provide a shaped article by means of a mold having a temperature of at least 70° C. and at most 120° C.
LAMINATED BODY, METHOD OF PRODUCING METAL MEMBER, AND METHOD OF PRODUCING RESIN MEMBER
A laminated body in which a thermoplastic resin layer, a thermosetting resin layer, and a protective film are layered one on another in this order, in which the thermosetting resin layer contains a thermosetting resin composition containing two or more kinds of organometallic complex, a surface of the protective film at an opposite side of the thermosetting resin layer has a surface roughness Ra of 30 nm or less, and an amount of nitrogen atoms present at the surface of the protective film at the side of the thermosetting resin layer is less than 1 atm %.
DISPLAY DEVICE AND DISPLAY DEVICE MANUFACTURING METHOD
A display device includes a display panel including a main display surface and a first sub-display surface that protrudes from one side of the main display surface, an adhesive layer disposed below the display panel, and a thermoforming film disposed below the adhesive layer, and the first sub-display surface may include a first top surface and a first side surface that defines a predetermined angle with the first top surface.
Stand alone thermoforming separator film
Improved separator film compositions, methods and systems for use in producing thermoformed dental appliances are disclosed.
METHOD OF MAKING PIEZOELECTRIC COMPOSITES
There is a need for methods that can produce piezoelectric composites having suitable physical characteristics and also optimized electrical stimulatory proper-ties. The present application provides piezo-electric composites, including tissue-stimu-lating composites, as well as methods of making such composites, that meet these needs. In embodiments, methods of making a spinal implant are provided. The methods suitably comprise preparing a thermoset, thermoplastic or thermoset/thermoplastic, or copolymer polymerizable matrix, dispersing a plurality of piezoelectric particles in the polymerizable matrix to generate dispersion, shaping the dispersion, inducing an electric polarization in the piezoelectric particles in the shaped dispersion, wherein at least 40% of the piezoelectric particles form chains.
MOLDING METHOD OF CRYSTALLINE PLASTICS
A molding method of crystalline plastics includes: providing a raw material; executing a thermoforming step; executing a cooling crystallization step; and executing a cooling and demolding step to form a crystalline plastic product, and a staged cooling technology is used to achieve the effect of simultaneously performing the cooling crystallization step and the cooling and demolding step in a mold. The molding method does not require an expensive cooling system, nor require an additional crystallizer, and the method can improve the process yield, lower the required equipment and labor costs and expenses, and reduce the total process time significantly.
THERMOFORMED DEVICE WITH OLED DISPLAY AND METHOD OF FABRICATION
A curved human interface device is manufactured by thermoforming a stack. The stack comprises a front substrate formed of a transparent, first thermoplastic material; an OLED display configured to display an image through the front substrate; and a thermomechanical buffer layer formed of a transparent, second thermoplastic material arranged between the front substrate and the OLED display. Heat is applied to the stack for causing a temperature of the front substrate and buffer layer to increase to a respective processing temperature at which the first and second thermoplastic materials become pliable. The stack is thermoformed while the thermoplastic materials are pliable to form the curved human interface device. The second thermoplastic material has a lower stiffness at the respective processing temperature than the first thermoplastic material.
