3D THERMOFORMED ELEMENT
A three-dimensional, vacuum thermal insulating element comprising a compressed three-dimensional porous structure, an envelope closed in an airtight manner comprising a thermoformable barrier wall, enclosing the porous structure, which is interposed between two major surfaces of the barrier wall, and where, at outside ambient temperature and pressure, a pressure between less than 10.sup.5 Pa and more than 10.sup.−2 Pa prevails. The barrier wall is thermoformed at said the two major surfaces, between which the porous structure is bent-shaped and/or has reliefs and/or depressions.
PART MADE FROM LIGNOCELLULOSIC MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SUCH A PART
A part made from lignocellulosic material (10) is formed from a single sheet (11) of partially delignified lignocellulosic material impregnated with an impregnation polymer. The part (10) comprises at least one curved portion having a double curvature surface. The part made from lignocellulosic material is produced by a production method implementing a thermoforming step. Use in particular for producing wood veneer structures.
CELLULOSE ACETATE COMPOSITION AND MOLDED ARTICLE
An object of the present invention is to provide a cellulose acetate composition with excellent biodegradability and water solubility, and excellent thermoformability. A cellulose acetate composition containing: a cellulose acetate having a degree of acetyl substitution of 0.4 or greater and less than 1.4; and at least one type of glycerin ester-based plasticizer selected from the group consisting of monoacetin and diacetin, wherein a content of the glycerin ester-based plasticizer is 3 parts by weight or greater per 100 parts by weight of the total amount of the cellulose acetate and the glycerin ester-based plasticizer.
Athletic gear or other devices comprising post-molded expandable components
A device (e.g., an article of athletic gear) comprising a post-molded expandable component, which is a part of the device that is configured to be expanded or has been expanded after being molded. This may allow the post-molded expandable component to have enhanced characteristics (e.g., be more shock-absorbent, lighter, etc.), to be cost-effectively manufactured (e.g., by using less material and/or making it in various sizes), and/or to be customized for a user (e.g., by custom-fitting it to the user).

Resin film for vacuum forming
Provided is a fluorine-based resin multilayer film for vacuum forming which does not cause wrinkles and the like when a three-dimensional surface decoration method is applied. The fluorine-based resin multilayer film for vacuum forming includes a front surface layer containing 60% by mass to 85% by mass of a vinylidene fluoride-based resin and 40% by mass to 15% by mass of a methacrylate ester-based resin; and a back surface layer containing 0% by mass to 50% by mass of a vinylidene fluoride-based resin and 100% by mass to 50% by mass of a methacrylate ester-based resin, wherein the thermal dimensional change in a film flow direction when heated at 120° C. for 30 minutes, which is measured based on JIS K7133, is −15% to −2%.
Process for forming articles from extruded polymer sheet
Method for forming a transparent article comprising: heating a polymer sheet 40 to form a heated sheet; creating a pressure differential across the heated sheet; pushing the heated sheet onto the contoured surface 20 to form a shaped article; and releasing the shaped article from the mold 12. Also included herein are articles made therefrom.
Multifunctional adhesive film for the surface protection of workpieces
A multilayer thermoformable film to protect the surface of a workpiece includes an underlayer having first and second faces. The underlayer is made from an adhesive material configured to adhere to the surface of the workpiece by the first face. At least one layer of polymer material is attached to the second face of the adhesive underlayer. The layer of polymer material is resistant to erosion by solid particles and to erosion by liquid particles. It is formed from a polymer material chosen from a polyurethane, a polyether ether ketone and a polyethylene having a very high molecular weight, with a Shore D hardness of between 50 and 65 D. A method of surface protection of the workpiece includes thermoforming the film in a shape adapted to match the shape of at least a portion of the workpiece and applying the film thermoformed onto the surface of the workpiece.
THERMALLY DEFORMABLE PLATE
A thermally deformable plate or film, comprising a thermoplastic plastic plate or plastic film (2, 3) and, arranged thereupon, a lacquer cover layer (1) having at least two constituents, characterized in that the lacquer cover layer (1) has a thermoformable component as a first constituent and a thermally curable component as a second constituent.
Flexible metal polymer composites
The invention relates to a flexible polymer composite containing metal particles, to the method for producing said composite, and to the uses of said composite.
