FILM AND POUCH
An object of the present invention is to provide a film and a pouch having basic characteristics such as a strength and barrier properties and achieving good openability. A film (10) according to the present invention includes at least a sealant layer (11), the film is formed with a cut guide line (G), and the cut guide line includes an impression (11A) formed in a surface of the sealant layer. In a pouch (30), the films are superimposed in a state where the sealant layers face each other, and peripheral edge parts are heat-sealed. The cut guide line is placed extending across at least a position where heat seal is not performed.
Binding machine and method for securing a part of a binding element in a loop around one or more objects
A binding machine comprising: —a feeding device for feeding a binding element (3) in the form of a wire or strap around one or more objects and subsequently retracting the binding element to draw it tightly around said objects; and —a laser welding device (12) for forming a welded joint between a first section at the leading end of the binding element and an adjoining second section at the trailing end of the part (3a) of the binding element fed around said objects to thereby secure this part of the binding element in a loop around the objects. The laser welding device directs a laser beam onto an area (30) at the trailing end of said second section in order to reduce the tensile strength of the binding element, wherein the feeding device retracts the binding element in order to subject this area to tensile stress and thereby cause the binding element to be broken off.
AIRBAG COVER
An airbag cover includes a substrate and a skin adhered to the substrate. The substrate includes an H-shaped tear seam and doors that are disposed on both sides of a crossbar portion of the tear seam and openable for forming an emergence opening when the tear seam tears. The skin includes a breakable region that is formed into a straight line and breakable to form the emergence opening. The breakable region includes a central portion disposed immediately above the crossbar portion, and two extended portions which extend from opposite ends of the central portion to outside of the vertical portions. The skin further includes, in each of the extended portions of the breakable region, an unadhered region where the skin is not adhered to the substrate. Each of the unadhered regions has a band shape whose width is smaller than a length of the vertical-bar portion of the tear seam.
MULTI-CUP ARRANGEMENT FOR FOODSTUFF PACKAGING
The present invention provides a multi-cup arrangement comprising a polypropylene sheet, wherein the polypropylene sheet comprises at least two cavities, the cavities each protruding from the sheet from a bottom surface of the sheet, wherein the cavities are separated from each other via one or more spacer area(s) on the sheet, wherein the spacer area(s) each comprise one or more groove(s) on the bottom surface of the sheet that are positioned to allow the sheet to be broken along the groove by bending the sheet towards the top surface, wherein the grooves are positioned to divide the sheet into multiple segments, each segment comprising one or more cavities, wherein each of the groove(s) has a maximum depth of ≥25% and ≤80% with regard to the thickness of the polypropylene sheet. Such multi-cup arrangement may be separated into individual cup segments by moderate manual force, whilst the arrangement does not undesirably bend nor snap under the action of its own weight.
CONTAINER PRE-CUTTING SYSTEM
This invention relates to a container pre-cutting system, applicable to container forming machines (4) with laminar material (3) that provide intermittent advances to the laminar material with a length according to an advance step of the machine; said system being suitable for making a lower pre-cut (32) on the lower surface and an upper pre-cut (32) on the upper surface of the laminar material (3). The system comprises a lower pre-cutting device (1) by laser, with at least one laser head (15), and an upper pre-cutting device (2) by blade or by laser. The pre-cutting devices (1, 2) are separated in the advance direction of the laminar material (3) by a length equal to a multiple of the advance step of the machine.
MEDICAL SYRINGE, GASKET FOR USE IN THE SYRINGE, AND PRODUCTION METHOD FOR THE GASKET
A gasket includes a main body made of an elastic material, and a film laminated on the surface of the main body. The gasket has a film circumferential surface portion to be brought into contact with an inner peripheral surface of a syringe barrel, and an annular groove formed circumferentially of the film circumferential surface portion. The gasket further includes an annular member which is fixed in the annular groove and includes an annular projection projecting from the surface of the film.
Foldable composite structures
Foldable composite structures and methods for fabricating foldable composite structures are provided. For example, a method comprises selectively applying a rigidifying substance to a sheet of composite material to define a plurality of hinges; allowing the rigidifying substance to cure; and folding the sheet of composite material along the hinges to form the composite structure. As another example, a method comprises laying out flat a sheet of composite material; masking a plurality of hinges on the sheet; applying a polymer to a sheet face; curing the polymer; removing the masking; and folding the sheet along the hinges to form the composite structure. An exemplary foldable composite structure comprises a planar sheet of composite material folded to define a plurality of surface segments and a plurality of hinges. A portion of the hinges form peaks and the remainder of the hinges form valleys. The hinges are defined between adjacent surface segments.
RETROREFLECTIVE SHEETING INCLUDING CUBE CORNER ELEMENTS
The present disclosure is directed to lamina(e) comprising cube corner elements, a tool comprising an assembly of laminae and replicas thereof. The disclosure further relates to retroreflective sheeting.
Method for producing a decorative composite having at least one local weakening and a weakened spacer fabric
Method for producing a weakened decorative composite from at least one decorative material (25) and a spacer fabric (11), in particular for producing coverings of airbags in motor vehicles, which spacer fabrics (11) have an upper cover layer (12) and a lower cover layer (13) and a layer (15) having spacer threads (14) is located between the cover layers (12, 13), wherein the weakenings in the spacer fabric (11) are blind holes (16) which are introduced into the lower cover layer (13) of the spacer fabric (11), wherein the blind holes (16) substantially pass through the lower cover layer (13) and the layer (15) having the spacer threads (14) and the upper cover layer (12) is substantially not weakened.
