DEVICE FOR WELDING PLASTIC TUBES
A tube welder including a clamp block configured to receive a tube, a carriage movable along a first axis, and a slide rail coupling the clamp block to the carriage such that the clamp block is configured to move along a second axis between the carriage and the clamp block. The tube welder further including a spring biasing the clamp block in a first direction along the second axis and a linkage configured to move the clamp block in the first direction and in a second direction along the second axis, opposite the first direction.
Machine for welding a plastic spout to a plastic package
The machine comprises a heating station (20) with hot air supply nozzles (22) facing one another and spaced apart; a unitary dispenser device (30) for dispensing plastic spouts into said heating station by a delivery element; a welding station (40); a gripping device (50) for gripping the plastic spout (5) at said heating station (20) and transferring it to the welding station (40) by turning said plastic spout (5) and placing a portion thereof, once heated, inside the open mouth (M) of a plastic package (2)); and a control unit (60) which manages in a coordinating manner the operation of the heating station (20), the dispenser device (30), the plastic spout delivery element, the gripping device (50) and the welding station (40).
Flexure arrangements for optical components
An optical system can include a receiver secured to a first optical component and a flexure arrangement secured to a second optical component. The flexure arrangement can include a plurality of flexures, each with a free end that can extend away from the second optical component and into a corresponding cavity of the receiver. Each of the cavities can be sized to receive adhesive that secures the corresponding flexure within the cavity when the adhesive has hardened, and to permit adjustment of the corresponding flexure within the cavity, before the adhesive has hardened, to adjust an alignment of the first and second optical components relative to multiple degrees of freedom.
Status indication for negative pressure wound therapy
Systems and methods for controlling a pump system for use in negative pressure wound therapy are described herein. In some embodiments, a method for controlling a pump system includes causing provision of negative pressure, via a flow path, to a wound dressing configured to be positioned over a wound, the flow path configured to fluidically connect the pump system to the wound dressing, measuring a first pressure value in the flow path at a first time, measuring a second pressure value in the flow path at a second time, calculating a first rate of pressure change using the first and second pressure values, and in response to determining that the calculated first rate of pressure change satisfies a threshold rate of change, providing an indication that the wound dressing is full, wherein the method is performed under control of a controller of the pump system.
Ultrasonic weld-bonding of thermoplastic composites
Methods for ultrasonic welding of thermoplastic polymer workpieces and assemblies made therefrom are provided. The method may comprise disposing a first region of a first thermoplastic polymer workpiece and a second region of a second thermoplastic polymer workpiece between an ultrasonic horn and an anvil of an ultrasonic welding device. The first workpiece has a preformed deformation and at least one of the first and/or second workpieces has an adhesive precursor applied thereto. The ultrasonic horn or anvil seats within the preformed deformation. Ultrasonic energy is applied from the ultrasonic horn to create a weld nugget between the first and second workpieces. The assembly thus formed has a green strength sufficient to be further processed immediately. The methods provide a robust weld joint with controlled adhesive bondline thickness.
Loading devices and methods of loading pipe fusion machines
A loading device for lifting an elongated object having an elongate axis includes a frame having a first fulcrum surface and a second fulcrum surface, a first effector arm that pivots about the first fulcrum surface, a second effector arm that pivots about the second fulcrum surface, and an actuator moving the first effector arm and the second effector arm between a retracted position and a deployed position.
Absorbent laminated material
Absorbent laminated materials that include two spunbond nonwoven layers with a cellulose layer arranged in between the spunbond nonwoven layers are disclosed. The different layers of the absorbent laminated material are bonded through an ultrasonic treatment, and can further undergo an embossing step. In addition, the absorbent laminated materials may be used as disposable wiping products, among other applications.
WELDING DEVICE AND WELDING METHOD
A welding device includes a pair of pressure rollers for pressurizing a web and a strip member, a feed device configured to intermittently or continuously feed the web and the strip member through the pair of pressure rollers, and the laser device configured to irradiate the web or the strip member with a laser beam at a position upstream of the pair of pressure rollers. The welding device may include a movement device configured to move the pair of pressure rollers upstream with respect to the web and the strip member during pause or stop of feed. Alternatively, the feed device may pause or stop the web and the strip member after retracting the web and the strip member by a certain length.
Composite film used for cable wrapping layer and preparation method for the same
This application provides a composite film for a cable wrapping layer and a preparation method for the same. The composite film for the cable wrapping layer includes a PE film layer, a PET film layer laminated at the PE film layer, an aluminum foil layer laminated at the PET film layer, and a bonding layer arranged between the PET film layer and the aluminum foil layer. The PE film layer is made of raw materials having the following parts by weight: 40-45 parts of LLDPE with a melt index of 0.9-1.1 g/10 min and a density of 0.920-0.922 g/cm.sup.3, 35-40 parts of m-LLDPE with a melt index of 1.9-2.1 g/10 min and a density of 0.917-0.920 g/cm.sup.3 and 15-25 parts of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer.
