Heat exchanger
A system for removing soluble support material from a prototype part may include a container for receiving the prototype part. A pump may be in fluid communication with the container and may be configured to pump a solution into the container and out of the container. A cooling module, such as a heat exchanger, may be in fluid communication with the pump. A temperature sensor may be operatively coupled to the cooling module and may activate the cooling module if a sensed temperature exceeds a threshold.
Process for treating silica-filled polyamide by impregnation in supercritical CO2
The present invention relates to a process for treating a polyamide-based material comprising silica fibers and/or fillers, by impregnation with at least one hydrophobic additive in supercritical CO.sub.2. The invention also relates to a polyamide-based material comprising silica fibers and/or fillers and impregnated with at least one hydrophobic additive, obtained via such a process, and to the use thereof as an electrically insulating component in an electrical device, in particular in a circuit breaker.
IMPRINT APPARATUS, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING ARTICLE, PLANARIZED LAYER FORMING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND DETERMINATION METHOD
An imprint apparatus that brings a mold and an imprint material on a substrate into contact with each other to form a pattern of the imprint material on the substrate is provided. The apparatus comprises a supplying unit configured to supply the imprint material to the substrate, and a control unit configured to control the supplying unit in accordance with arrangement data of the imprint material that indicates a position where the imprint material is to be supplied on the substrate, wherein the control unit determines the arrangement data based on a feature related to a spread of a droplet of the imprint material on the substrate.
Ink composition for powder bed and inkjet head 3D printing
The present invention relates to an ink composition containing a multifunctional adhesive suitable for a three-dimensional (3D) printer and the use thereof. The multifunctional adhesive of the present invention contains a compound with a catechol group and exhibits excellent adhesion to various materials (e.g. dry plaster powders, polymers, metals, ceramics, and composite materials). The use of the ink composition of the present invention containing the multifunctional adhesive enables the processing of various functional materials that were difficult to fabricate into a 3D structure. Therefore, it is highly likely that the ink composition of the present invention can effectively create a market for functional materials for a 3D printer and find new areas of application (e.g. automotive, medical, fashion, aviation/aerospace, construction, consumer electronics, entertainment, etc.).
Wash liquids for use in additive manufacturing with dual cure resins
A method of forming a three-dimensional object, which method includes a cleaning or washing step, is carried out by: (a) providing a carrier and a fill level, and optionally an optically transparent member having a build surface defining the fill level, the carrier and the fill level having a build region therebetween; (b) filling the build region with a polymerizable liquid, the polymerizable liquid comprising a mixture of (i) a light polymerizable liquid first component, and (ii) a second solidifiable component that is different from the first component; (c) irradiating the build region with light, to form a solid polymer scaffold from the first component and also advancing the carrier away from the build surface to form a three-dimensional intermediate having the same shape as, or a shape to be imparted to, the three-dimensional object and containing the second solidifiable component carried in the scaffold in unsolidified and/or uncured form; (d) washing the three-dimensional intermediate; and (e) concurrently with or subsequent to the irradiating step, and/or the washing step, solidifying and/or curing the second solidifiable component in the three-dimensional intermediate to form the three-dimensional object.
METHOD FOR CONSOLIDATING AN ADDITIVELY MANUFACTURED PIECE
Methods and systems for consolidating an additively manufactured piece. In one embodiment, methods include the step of combining the additively manufactured piece with another piece, for example with another additively manufactured piece or with a piece that is not additively manufactured (e.g. an insert, foam, etc.), so that during a consolidation step, those pieces are assembled or connected together.
Process for treating a material chosen from among a polyamide, a polyester and a poly(meth)acrylate
This invention relates to a treatment process for a material chosen from among a polyamide, a polyester and a poly(meth)acrylate. According to the invention, this process comprises a step in which contact is made between this material and a polar organic solvent in a supercritical fluid. This invention also relates to a process for manufacturing a part from a material chosen from among a polyamide, a polyester and a poly(meth)acrylate in a divided form. Finally, the invention relates to use of the material treated by the treatment process and to use of the part manufactured by the manufacturing process in the low voltage, medium voltage or high voltage electrical industry.
Components with geometrical features to facilitate post-fabrication cleaning
The present application relates to components, such as dental apparatuses, having geometrical features to facilitate post-fabrication cleaning, including methods of fabricating the same. In one embodiment, a dental apparatus, such as a retainer, an aligner, or a dental attachment placement appliance, comprises one or more concave surfaces for which one or more apertures is formed therethrough at or near a maximum depth of a given concave surface.
METHODS FOR PRODUCING THREE-DIMENSIONAL OBJECTS
A method of forming a three-dimensional object is carried out by: (a) providing a carrier and an optically transparent member having a build surface, the carrier and the build surface defining a build region therebetween; (b) filling the build region with a polymerizable liquid, the polymerizable liquid comprising a mixture of: (i) a light polymerizable liquid first component, and (ii) a second solidifiable component that is different from the first component; (c) irradiating the build region with light through the optically transparent member to form a solid blocked polymer scaffold and advancing the carrier away from the build surface to form a three-dimensional intermediate having the same shape as, or a shape to be imparted to, the three-dimensional object, with the intermediate containing the second solidifiable component; and then (d) solidifying and/or curing the second solidifiable component to form from said three-dimensional intermediate the three-dimensional object.
Method and apparatus for treating an object
An apparatus and a method for treating an object manufactured from a material having a defined melting temperature, by subjecting the object to hot isostatic pressing to reduce porosity and increase a density thereof. The method comprises arranging the object in a pressure chamber interior cavity, submerged in a liquid partially filling the cavity, heating the liquid to a below melting temperature, pressurizing the liquid by pressurizing gas above a liquid surface in the cavity, then moving the object out of the liquid, but still within the cavity, subsequently heating the liquid to an above melting temperature, and resubmerging the object in the liquid. Subsequently, the object is withdrawn from the liquid and moved above the liquid. The apparatus comprises the pressure chamber, a movable object support in the cavity, a liquid heater, and a gas inlet and outlet selectively introducing gas into and venting gas from the cavity.
