CAP FOR A CONTAINER, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A CAP
A method for producing a cap for a container wherein the cap includes a retaining ring suitable for being associated with a neck of the container and a closure element hinged to the retaining ring for opening or closing an opening defined by the neck of the container. The method includes providing a cup-shaped body having a side wall extending about an axis and an end wall extending transversely to the axis, and cutting the side wall along a separation line for defining the retaining ring and the closure element such that during the cutting step there is interacting with the material forming the side wall along an angular extension of the side wall about the axis as to leave intact at least one connection band which connects the retaining ring to the closure element, and producing at least one delimitation line which laterally delimits the connection band.
Synthetic-resin container lid, method for manufacturing same, and post-processing apparatus for executing the method
A synthetic-resin container lid having tamper-evident characteristics, which is not separated in its entirety from a mouth-neck portion of a container even after the mouth-neck portion of the container is unsealed, is manufactured rapidly and inexpensively. A plurality of scores (26, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38) are formed, as post-processing, at predetermined positions in an incomplete container lid formed with no scores.
MOLDED ARTICLES, AND METHODS THEREOF
A molded article formed from a polymer composition, the polymer composition consisting essentially of: an ethylene homopolymer or ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer; greater than 20 ppm of a fluoropolymer; and optionally, up to 5 wt. % of one or more of processing aids, acid neutralizers, stabilizers, phosphites, antioxidants, metal de-activators, pigments or colorants, or fillers; wherein the molded article exhibits an oxygen transmission rate [OTR, (cc*mm)/(m.sup.2*day*atm)]3181 (cc.sup.2*mm)/g*m.sup.2*day*atm)[Density, g/cc]+3077, (cc*mm)/(m.sup.2*day*atm)
Dispensing closure with self-closing valve
A dispensing closure for a product container includes a plastic closure body having a top wall with a dispensing opening which is arranged in line with a dispensing passage of the container. The closure includes a self-closing valve embodied as a membrane made of a plastic foil. The membrane has a valve portion, which in use can assume an open position under influence of product pressure, and an attachment portion surrounding the valve portion. The attachment portion of the valve is sealed to an annular support surface integrally formed in the closure body along the periphery of the opening or being formed on a plastic annular insert part that is connected to the closure body along the periphery of the opening. The seal between the attachment portion and the support surface includes an annular groove and an inner annular seal zone adjoining the annular groove on a radial inner side.
Injection molded caps or closures, and methods thereof
An injection molded cap or closure having a weld line, wherein the injection molded cap or closure is formed from an ethylene-based resin comprising a high molecular weight component and a low molecular weight component.
Manufacturing Method Of Cap And Manufacturing Apparatus Of Cap
A manufacturing method of a cap (100) includes: supplying a first resin material to a molded product (111A) having a top plate portion (121) and a skirt portion (122) integrally formed on the top plate portion (121) through a corner portion (123); molding the first resin material of the molded product (111A) disposed in a first lower mold (21) into a sliding layer (141) with a first upper mold (22); supplying a second resin material to the sliding layer (141); molding the second resin material of the molded product (111A) disposed in a second lower mold (31) into a sealing layer (142) with a second upper mold (32); taking out a sealing member (112) in the molded product (111A); and inserting the sealing member (112) into another molded product (111A).
DOUBLE TAMPER EVIDENCE CAP FOR A NECK OF A CONTAINER, SYSTEM INCLUDING SAID CAP AND A CONTAINER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAID CAP
The invention pertains to an improved container (e.g bottle) cap which is a single use leakproof closing, which shows obvious indications of an illicit opening and re-use, having a double level of tamperproof means.
This cap is a screw cap (1) for a neck (2) of a bottle (3) comprising an upper part (4) removable from the neck (2) and a lower part (5) non-removable from the neck (2). Said lower non-removable part (5) is a tamper evidence band (TEB) linked to the bottom edge (12) of the cap's skirt (11) by annularly regularly distributed frangible connection bridges (13) which are designed to be broken at the first licit opening of the bottle by unscrewing and removal of the upper part (4) of the cap (1). Said TEB also displays any breaking in of the cap (1) before the first container (3) opening, thanks to additional lower markers (18) which are composed of annularly regularly distributed frangible connection bridges (18). Upper frangible bridges (13) and lower frangible bridges (18) are below the top edge (2) of the neck (2) in the original closed position of the cap and define a top ring (5) of the TEB (5) which is intact after the first licit opening.
Caps or Closures Made From a Resin Composition Comprising Polyethylene
The present invention relates to caps or closures made from a resin composition comprising at least one polyethylene having a density of at least 0.940 g/cm.sup.3 when measured following the ISO 1183-2 method at 23 C.; erucamide; and at least 700 ppm based on the total weight of the resin composition of at least one ultraviolet absorber selected from the hydroxyphenylbenzotriazole class.
The present invention also relates to a process for the production of said caps or closures.
Retainable Closure
A retainable closure with tamper evident features is disclosed.
APPARATUS AND METHOD TO PRODUCE CLOSING SYSTEMS FOR CONTAINERS
An apparatus (10) and a method are described for producing a closing system (100) for containers comprising an anti-tampering strip (101) configured to be attached to an opening of a container, and a re-closable closing body (102), configured to hermetically close said containers. The apparatus (10) comprises a welding and deformation station (11) in which it is provided to weld a barrier element (108) to the re-closable closing body (102) and to fold a flexible annular portion (109) of the anti-tampering strip (101) back toward the inside of the closing system (100) while the latter is stationary in a same predetermined position in the welding and deformation station (11).
