Filmic release base material with improved silicone anchorage properties
The application relates to a polymeric film (FILM 1) for a release liner (REL2), comprising a polymeric support layer (S1) of a first composition comprising one or more polyolefins and/or polyesters, and an extruded primer layer (PRIM1) of a second composition comprising a thermoplastic polymer covalently bounded to functional vinyl groups.
MULTILAYER, COEXTRUDED POLYOLEFIN FILM AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF ON TRIPLE BUBBLE LINES
The present invention relates to a multilayer, polyolefin-based packaging film which does not contain any polyamides or polyesters and to a method to manufacture such film through the Triple Bubble technology. The present invention also relates to the use of such film for packaging products, especially food products and to the packages obtained with such film.
Method for producing a 3D-printed tissue substitute
A method for producing a 3D-printed tissue substitute is disclosed, utilizing a 3D printing device including a tank including a yield stress fluid in which the material is printed, the printing material delivered by the cartridge includes polyvinyl alcohol and gelatin, the method including a step following which, after printing the material in the yield stress fluid, a printed intermediate device is solidified in the yield stress fluid by lowering the temperature of the tank. The intermediate device is removed from the tank, rinsed and dried in order to obtain the tissue substitute.
Liquid-impermeable stitching method for seam of vapor-permeable virus-barrier fabric
A fluid impervious stitching method for a seam of a vapor-permeable virus-barrier laminate. The laminate comprises: at least one thermoplastic resin fiber layer; at least one vapor-permeable virus-barrier thermoplastic elastomer film layer; and a bonding layer located between the two layers and formed of an adhesive capable of being fused with the two layers. In the stitching method, overlapping or stacking is performed to form a seam, and heat sealing is performed on the laminate at the seam. The temperature of heat sealing is higher than the melting point of a material layer having the highest melting point in the laminate, but lower than the temperature at which perforation or decomposition occurs in any material layer in the laminate. The heat-stitched seam has excellent windproof, vapor-permeable, virus barrier and liquid-barrier performance, has a smooth appearance without wrinkles, and feels soft. Also provided is a protective textile product prepared by means of the stitching method.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR MAKING AN OPTICAL FUNCTIONAL FILM
Methods and apparatus are provided for eyeglass lens made using a solution casting process. The method may include providing a first soluble polymer solution. The method may include providing a first dye solution including at least one dye. The method may include adding the first dye solution to the first soluble polymer solution to form a first dyed solution. The method may include casting the first dyed solution to form a first film. The method may include providing a second soluble polymer solution. The method may include providing a second dye solution comprising at least one dye. The method may include adding the second dye solution to the second soluble polymer solution to form a second dyed solution. The method may include casting the second dyed solution onto the first film to form a two-layer film. The method may include laminating or casting the two-layer film to the eyeglass lens.
3D PRINTING WATER SOLUBLE SUPPORT FILAMENT AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF
Disclosed herein are at least partially water soluble compositions for use in 3D printing. The compositions comprise a mixture of polymeric materials that can be printed using existing 3D printing devices to form a support scaffold for overhanging parts of a 3D object to be printed. The 3D object can be printed such that at least a portion of the 3D object is printed onto the support scaffold. After printing, the support scaffold can be removed from the 3D object by treatment with water, such as by immersion in water. The compositions can comprise a mixture of one or more water soluble polymers and one or more water insoluble polymers.
Method for fabricating a filter containing tragacanthin nanofibers
A fabrication method for a water-absorbent filter includes obtaining a homogenized tragacanth suspension by dissolving tragacanth in a solvent, where the solvent may include distilled water, ethyl acetate, acetic acid, and formic acid, obtaining a support layer by coating a stainless steel mesh with a thin layer of a hydrophobic polymer, coating a stainless steel mesh with the thin layer of the hydrophobic polymer comprising electrospinning a hydrophobic polymer solution onto the stainless steel mesh, forming a tragacanth nanofibrous web on the support layer by electrospinning the homogenized tragacanth suspension onto the support layer, and cross-linking the tragacanth nanofibrous web by exposing the tragacanth nanofibrous web to a saturated vapor of a cross-linking agent.
