A method for manufacturing a composite part (100) for covering, sealing, trimming, or retaining a component of a vehicle, wherein the composite part (100) has a main body (110) with a vehicle side surface (111) and is made of a first polymer, and has a mounting pin (130) configured to engage in a form fitting manner and is made of a second polymer, wherein the second polymer has a higher formability than the first polymer, comprises the steps of extrusion molding of the main body (110) and injection molding of the mounting pin (130). This is done in such a manner that the mounting pin (130) is being integrally bonded to the main body (110) on the side of the vehicle side surface (111).

POROUS PIEZOELECTRIC COMPOSITES AND PRODUCTION THEREOF

Parts made by additive manufacturing are often structural in nature, rather than having functional properties conveyed by a polymer or other component present therein. Printed parts having piezoelectric properties may be formed using compositions comprising a plurality of piezoelectric particles dispersed in at least a portion of a polymer matrix comprising first polymer material and a sacrificial material, the sacrificial material being removable from the polymer matrix to define a plurality of pores in the polymer matrix. The piezoelectric particles may remain substantially non-agglomerated when combined with the polymer matrix. The sacrificial material may comprise a second polymer material. The compositions may define a composite having a form factor such as a composite filament, a composite pellet, a composite powder, or a composite paste. Additive manufacturing processes may comprise forming a printed part by depositing the compositions layer-by-layer and introducing porosity therein.

Heat-resistant food container and its manufacturing method

This invention provides a food container which can be manufactured cheaply by using inexpensive general PET resin or further inexpensive PET resin for fiber or recovered PET flakes, and nevertheless, which has a high heat resistance up to 250° C., and the container is obtained by adding a chain extender and a compatibilizer and talc to PET resin, charging the mixture into an extruder 30 having two or more vent holes, degassing under a condition where the PET resin is melted with heating by sucking at a high vacuum of −99.99 kPa or lower from the vent holes 33, 34, thereafter, forming a sheet by extrusion molding, pressure-forming with vacuum the sheet by a thermoforming machine, forming the container by keeping in a mold at 100-220° C. The container has a total of the content of crystal portion represented by the following formula and the content of talc being 25% by weight or more.

Single pellet polymeric compositions

A pellet composed of a polymeric blend having a polyolefin and polylactic acid.

Coextruded, crosslinked multilayer polyolefin foam structures from recycled metallized polyolefin material and methods of making the same

A physically crosslinked, closed cell continuous multilayer foam structure comprising at least one polypropylene/polyethylene coextruded foam layer is obtained. The multilayer foam structure is obtained by coextruding a multilayer structure comprising at least one foam composition layer, irradiating the coextruded structure with ionizing radiation, and continuously foaming the irradiated structure.

FUNCTIONAL SHEET INCLUDING POLYESTER RESIN, AND LENS USING FUNCTIONAL SHEET

The present invention provides a functional sheet including a functional layer provided between protective layers. The functional layer is a polarizing film layer, a photochromic layer, or a combination of the polarizing film layer and the photochromic layer. At least one of the protective layers includes a layer formed of a resin (C) containing a polyester resin (A) obtained as a result of polycondensation of 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol and 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid and an aromatic polycarbonate resin (B), the polyester resin (A) being contained at a content of 10 to 100 parts by mass and the aromatic polycarbonate resin (B) being contained at a content of 0 to 90 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass as a total of the polyester resin (A) and the aromatic polycarbonate resin (B). A lens is provided with such a functional sheet.

Method for producing thermoplastic resin composition

Provided is a thermoplastic resin composition having high flame resistance, high fluidity during injection molding, and improved impact resistance in a molded article. To provide a method for producing a thermoplastic resin composition, the method including a step (1) of obtaining a polyester resin mixture by melt-kneading a crystalline terephthalate-based polyester resin, and a polyester resin A including at least one kind selected from the group consisting of isophthalic acid, orthophthalic acid, naphthalenedicarboxylic acid, anthracene dicarboxylic acid and pyridine dicarboxylic acid as an aromatic dicarboxylic acid component with an extruder, and a step (2) of mixing the polyester resin mixture, a polycarbonate resin, a flame retardant and a toughening agent.
