LEAD CASING FOR PENCIL, AND PENCIL THEREOF FOR WRITING, DRAWING, MARKING, PLOTTING, AND COLORING
There is a lead casing for pencil for writing, drawing, marking, plotting, and/or coloring, made of a composition having, by weight relative to the total weight of the lead casing for pencil: a) from 50 to 95% of a mixture of polylactic acid and polybutylene adipate terephtalate in a weight ratio polylactic acid/polybutylene adipate terephtalate ranging from 60/40 to 90/10, and b) from 5 to 40% of vegetable fillers chosen in the group consisting of wood fibers.
There is also a pencil including the lead casing for the pencil of the disclosure for writing, drawing, marking, plotting, and/or coloring, as well as a method for manufacturing such a pencil.
MICROCAVITY-CONTAINING POLYMERIC MEDICAL DEVICES FOR ENHANCED ULTRASONIC ECHOGENICITY
An ultrasound-detectable polymeric device that offers superior visibility of the body of the device and decreased ultrasound angle dependence through the use of microcavities and methods of manufacturing thereof is disclosed. These microcavities enable superior ultrasound visualization due to diffuse reflection of sound waves when compared to solid polymeric objects, ensuring that a strong signal is received at the source of the ultrasound transducer and providing strong image contrast throughout the entire cross-section of the implant that is also robust to variable angles of insonation.
HOSE WITH RUBBER AND PLASTIC
A hose is provided comprising a rubber backing layer directly bonded to a continuous polyamide layer without an intervening adhesive layer, wherein the hose exhibits increased low and high temperature capability and decreased permeation compared to standard automotive refrigerant hoses.
Method of Performing a Task in Registration With a Seal In Materials and Flexible Containers Made By Method
A method for performing a task in registration with a discrete seal in at least one material is described herein. The method involves simultaneously forming a discrete seal and a fiducial/eye mark in the at least one material. The method includes providing a detection device; providing a unit operation mechanism; and performing an operation on the material(s) in registration with the discrete seal. The task performed in registration with the discrete seal is based upon the location of the eye mark that was simultaneously formed with the discrete seal. A method of making flexible containers using cutting to form the outer periphery of the packages is described herein. Also described herein are flexible containers and container blanks made by such a method.
METHOD OF MAKING COEXTRUDED, CROSS-LINKED POLYOLEFIN FOAM WITH TPU CAP LAYERS
The present disclosure is directed to a physically crosslinked, closed cell continuous multilayer foam structure comprising at least one foam polypropylene/polyethylene layer with a TPU cap layer. The multilayer foam structure can be obtained by coextruding a multilayer structure comprising at least one foam composition layer with at least one cap composition layer, irradiating the coextruded structure with ionizing radiation, and continuously foaming the irradiated structure.
Washable, waterproof, sealable and reusable soft gusseted volumized storage bags
Disclosed are embodiments of a volume control storage bag and methods of making same. The volume control storage bag may have first and second sidewalls, a double-locking closure mechanism with a first closure element extending along the first sidewall and a second closure element extending along the second sidewall, each closure element having a channel and an elongated member configured for interlocking with one another. A gusset is sealed along three sides of the first and second sidewalls, leaving an opening through the closure mechanism and defining an interior space having a specific volume. Corner seals may be formed at the corners of the first and second sidewalls, further reinforcing the double-locking closure mechanism for an airtight and hence waterproof seal. The volume control storage bag may be made of a food-grade polyethylene vinyl acetate blend, approximately 90% or less ethylene vinyl acetate and approximately 10% or less polyethylene.
Injectable polymer composition, shoe strip and method of manufacture
A polymeric composition which can be used for the manufacture of rubber articles, in general, such as soles, shoes, boots, sealing rings, rugs, footwear straps and sandals, by the same thermoplastic injection process in equipment (injectors) used for plastics without the need for vulcanization or crosslinking and with different embodiments, according to the final product of interest. The basic components of the present polymeric composition are ethylene vinyl acetate, which may be a combination of ethylene vinyl acetate having a VA content of 19% and ethylene vinyl acetate having a VA content of 28%, and a copolymer of alpha olefin ethylene.
EXTERNAL ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A light-transmitting plastic casing and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. A manufacturing method of a light-transmitting plastic casing include the steps: providing a mixed material, the mixed material includes a resinous material, a flame retardant material, a transparent fiberglass material, and an elastomer material; performing a granulating step to the mixed material to form granules; performing a heating step to the granules; and performing a molding step to heated granules to form a light-transmitting plastic casing.
Stabilized matrix-filled liquid radiation curable resin compositions for additive fabrication
Matrix-filled liquid radiation curable resin compositions for additive fabrication are described and claimed. Such resins include a cationically polymerizable component that is an aliphatic epoxide, a multifunctional (meth)acrylate component, a cationic photoinitiator, a free-radical photoinitiator, and a matrix of inorganic fillers, wherein the matrix further constitutes prescribed ratios of at least one microparticle constituent and at least one nanoparticle constituent. Also described and claimed is a process for using the matrix-filled liquid radiation curable resins for additive fabrication to create three dimensional parts, and the three-dimensional parts made from the liquid radiation curable resins for additive fabrication.
