Provided is a dip molding emulsion including, at least: an elastomer that contains a (meth)acrylonitrile-derived structural unit, an unsaturated carboxylic acid-derived structural unit, and a butadiene-derived structural unit in a polymer main chain; an epoxy crosslinking agent; water; and a pH modifier, in which dip molding composition the elastomer contains the (meth)acrylonitrile-derived structural unit in an amount of 20% by weight to 40% by weight, the unsaturated carboxylic acid-derived structural unit in an amount of 1% by weight to 10% by weight, and the butadiene-derived structural unit in an amount of 50% by weight to 75% by weight, and the epoxy crosslinking agent includes an epoxy crosslinking agent containing an epoxy compound having three or more epoxy groups in one molecule and has a dissolution rate in water of 10% to 70% as determined by a specific measurement method.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DE-VULCANISATION OF RUBBER
The invention provides an apparatus for de-vulcanisation of rubber from a rubber component, preferably a rubber tire. The apparatus comprises a cleaning device configured to clean and/or sanitize the rubber and a mixing device having at least one rotor configured to de-vulcanise the cleaned and/or sanitized rubber.
A METHOD FOR MEASURING THE CROSS-LINKING DEGREE OF A COMPONENT OF ELASTOMERIC MATERIAL
A method for measuring a degree of cross-linking of a component of elastomeric material obtained as a result of a hot-forming process, includes a preliminary calibration step in which a plurality of samples are provided, made of the same material as the component. The samples have different degrees of cross-linking following respective hot-forming processes conducted for different periods of time. The preliminary calibration step includes providing a measuring device having an electrical circuit, in which a voltage generator is arranged in series with metal contacts configured to selectively receive a sample, and an ammeter, positioning a sample between said metal contacts, providing a predetermined voltage value, and detecting the corresponding current value by means of said ammeter. The aforesaid steps are repeated for each sample so as to obtain a calibration map that associates a given degree of cross-linking of the material constituting said component with each determined value of electrical conductivity.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A MULTILAYERED COMPOSITE FILM, A MULTILAYERED COMPOSITE FILM AND ITS USE
The present patent application relates to a method of manufacturing a multilayered composite film comprising a step of co-extruding at least three layers (a), (b) and (c), of which the layer (a) forms an outward surface of the composite film; the layer (c) forms a surface of the composite film facing or coming in contact with a good to be packaged; and the layer (b) is disposed between the layer (a) and the layer (c). Further, the method includes a step of biaxial orientation of the composite film thus co-extruded. Therein, the layer (a) contains or consists of a thermoplastic resin. The layer (b) contains or consists of a polyvinylidene chloride (PVdC) resin. The layer (c) contains or consists of a resin, preferably sealable, in particular heat-sealable resin. Therein, any crosslinking of the composite film by means of radioactive radiation, in particular by means of beta, gamma, X-ray and/or electron irradiation, is omitted during the manufacturing of the composite film and/or thereafter.
Method for manufacturing a patch equipped with a radiofrequency transponder
A process for manufacturing a rubber patch comprising a radiofrequency transponder, the patch having a first layer and a second layer, the method comprising moulding and vulcanizing a first layer, the exterior surface of which comprises a cavity able to receive a radiofrequency transponder, placing a transponder in the cavity, and then placing and vulcanizing a second layer in order to embed the transponder between the two layers.
A FUNCTIONAL COMPOSITE AND A METHOD FOR PREPARING THEREOF
A composite material that prevents the emission of the radiation and a production method thereof. The composite material which prevents the emission of the radiation mainly includes boric acid, sodium pentaborate, barium sulphate, tribasic lead sulphate, zeolite, zinc borate as anti-odour and/or gas suppressor, at least one thermoset component for hardness ability or thermoplastic component for flexibility ability and preferably magnesium oxide, barium titanate and titanium dioxide.
HYDROGEL THREE-DIMENSIONAL PRINTING WITH SELF-CROSSLINKING PARTICULATE BUILD MATERIAL
This disclosure describes hydrogel three-dimensional printing kits, methods of three-dimensional printing hydrogels, and hydrogel three-dimensional printing systems. In one example, a hydrogel three-dimensional printing kit can include a particulate build material and an aqueous agent. The particulate build material can include from about 90 wt % to 100 wt % of a mixture of a powdered polyhydroxylated swellable polymer dry blended with powdered water-soluble crosslinker that is reactive with hydroxyl groups of the polyhydroxylated swellable polymer to crosslink the polyhydroxylated swellable polymer. The aqueous agent can include water and an organic co-solvent, and the aqueous agent may not include the crosslinker.
Expanding crosslinking polymer injection molding system
Non-time dependent calculated variables based on measured strain are used to effectively determine an optimal hold profile for an expanding crosslinking polymer part in a mold cavity. A system and/or approach may first inject molten expanding crosslinking polymer into a mold cavity, then measure strain at the mold cavity or at another location within the injection molding system, and then calculate at least one non-time dependent variable during an injection molding cycle. Next, the system and/or method commences a hold profile for the part, and upon completing the hold profile, the part is ejected from the mold cavity, whereupon a cure profile is commenced.
ACTINIC RADIATION CURABLE POLYMERIC MIXTURES, CURED POLYMERIC MIXTURES AND RELATED PROCESSES
The present disclosure is directed to actinic radiation curable polymeric mixtures, cured polymeric mixtures, tires and tire components made from the foregoing, and related processes.
