LAND VEHICLES INCORPORATING MONOCOQUES AND MODULAR MOLD SYSTEMS FOR MAKING THE SAME
Land vehicles, modular systems for forming monocoques of land vehicles, and methods of forming monocoques of land vehicles using modular systems are envisioned. In certain embodiments, the land vehicles are provided as delivery vehicles and/or utility vehicles. A land vehicle includes a monocoque supporting a plurality of wheels to permit movement of the vehicle relative to an underlying surface in use of the land vehicle.
Method of fastening an edge structure to a construction element
A method of fastening an edge structure to a construction element includes providing the construction element, being a planar structure with with two cover regions and a middle region between the cover regions; providing the edge structure being continuously extended, the edge structure having contact surfaces with a thermoplastic material shaped to lie against the cover regions in an outer surface of the construction element, and, opposite the contact surfaces, a coupling-in surface for coupling energy into the edge structure; coupling energy into the edge structure and pressing the contact surfaces against the cover regions until at least a portion of the thermoplastic material is liquefied and pressed into the cover regions; and repeating or continuing the steps of coupling and pressing until the edge structure is attached to the building element at a plurality of discrete locations or over an extended region along an edge of the construction element.
Apparatus and Method for the Manufacture of Noodles
An apparatus (2) for forming a noodle (20) within an elongate groove (14) of a product is provided comprising an extrusion system comprising at least one extruder nozzle (4) through which noodle material (16) is extruded, at least one levelling device (6) adjacent the extruder nozzle (4) which levels the noodle material (16), and a gantry system which moves the extruder nozzle (4) and the levelling device (6) along the elongate product groove (14), such that noodle material (16) is extruded along the product groove (14) and is levelled to form at least part of the noodle (20) within the product groove (14).
INJECTION MOLDING PELLET AND PELLET PRODUCING METHOD
An injection molding pellet is applied for injection molding. The base material of the injection molding pellet is a polylactic resin, and the polylactic resin is mixed with wood grains with a grain size that does not exceed 50 ?m.
Binder compositions comprising lignin derivatives
The present disclosure provides an adhesive composition comprising derivatives of native lignin and an isocyanate-based binder such as methylene diphenyl diisocyanate. The present compositions may further comprise formaldehyde-based resins such as PF, UF, and MF. While not wishing to be bound by theory, it is believed that incorporating derivatives of native lignin in isocyanate compositions will reduce incidence of pre-curing.
Use of recycled packaging in polymer composite products
A polymer composite and its method of manufacture using a recycled multilayer material. An example of the recycled multilayer material is comprised of a polyethylene/polyethylene terephthalate/aluminum film or polyethylene/nylon/aluminum film that may be extruded with organic filler to obtain desirable performance in wood-substitute products such as deck boards, railing, fencing, pergolas, residential cladding/siding, sheet products, and other applications.
ADAPTION OF MAGNETIC PARTICLES WITHIN A RESIN SUBSTRATE OF A TEXTILE ARTICLE
The present disclosure describes techniques for fabricating a textile article that incorporates bristle-like filaments that protrude away from a surface plane of the textile article. More specifically, a textile article is fabricated from a laminate formed by curing a reinforcement fiber matrix and a resin substrate. The resin substrate may include magnetic particles the react to a magnetic field introduced during the curing process. Prior to cure, the influence of a magnetic field may cause the magnetic particles within the resin substrate to protrude away from a surface plane of the wet laminate, thus causing the resin substrate itself to form bristle-like filaments. The shape and contour of a design (i.e., arrangement of bristle-like filaments) may be functionally controlled by an arrangement of magnets, and/or magnetic particles used to generate the magnet field that manipulates the resin substrate during the curing process.
Formed ligneous body and method of producing the same
A formed ligneous body having a highly original and excellent design and exhibiting a novel handsome appearance is provided, and a method of making the formed ligneous body. The formed ligneous body includes a translucent base portion, and decorative spot portions whose degree of translucency is different from that of the base portion and which are integrated with the base portion. The base portion and the decorative spot portion are formed of respective resin-impregnated ligneous materials having respective different color tones. The base portion is formed with a predetermined thickness, while the decorative spot portions are integrally embedded within and/or exposed on at least one of front and back surfaces of the base portion in a predetermined pattern of local arrangement.
