Land vehicles incorporating removable powertrain units, powertrain units, and methods therefor
In certain embodiments, land vehicles are provided as delivery vehicles and/or utility vehicles. A land vehicle includes a frame structure having a front cage that defines an operator cabin and a rear floor positioned rearward of the front cage. The frame structure supports a plurality of wheels to permit movement of the vehicle relative to an underlying surface in use of the land vehicle. An underside of the frame structure is disposed in confronting relation with the underlying surface.
COMPRESSION MOLDED DOUBLE WALL BLOCKS FOR A PALLET AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A compression molding system includes a first extruder configured to output melted plastic, a second extruder downstream from the first extruder and configured to mix the melted plastic with wood chips to output a composite material, a splitter downstream from the second extruder and configured to split a flow of the composite material between a first flow and a second flow, and an inner and outer block transfer valve downstream from the splitter and configured to receive the first flow and the second flow of the composite material. An inner block transfer valve and an outer block transfer valve may be configured to alternately direct the composite material between an inner block accumulator and an outer block accumulator.
INJECTION MOLDING PELLET AND PELLET PRODUCING METHOD
An injection molding pellet is applied for injection molding. The base material of the injection molding pellet is a polylactic resin, and the polylactic resin is mixed with wood grains with a grain size that does not exceed 50 m.
Clinical waste container and method for producing the same
A method for producing a clinical waste container having a lower basket part having an upper basket opening and an upper lid part, arranged to be fastened to the lower basket part to cover the upper basket opening. The upper lid part has a first cylindrical part having an upper lid opening arranged to receive clinical waste into the lower basket part. The method includes: providing a metal mold and a heated nozzle; injecting a blended molten plastic material comprising at least 30% by volume wooden fibers via the heated nozzle into the metal mold; allowing the plastic material to harden by cooling to form the upper lid part; removing the upper lid part from the metal mold; providing the lower basket part; and actively and continuously cooling the mold during the hardening to a constant temperature of at least 30 C.
Method and apparatus for producing solid foam, product and use
The application relates to a method and apparatus for producing a solid foam continuously. A homogeneous suspension is formed from a raw material in which the suspension comprises a solidifying agent, and a foam mixture which comprises bubbles is formed by mixing air bubbles into the suspension. The foam mixture is injected via at least one nozzle to form a foam pattern and the foam pattern is laid on a moving surface and the foam mixture of the foam pattern is solidified in order to form a solid foam such that the bubbles of the foam mixture shrink in off-length directions to form the shaped bubbles. Further, the application relates to the product and the use of the method.
PVC infused composite products
A method of manufacturing a product includes forming a first mixture of PVC fragments and cellulosic fragments, heating the first mixture at a temperature and duration sufficient to melt at least a portion of the PVC fragments, and cooling the first mixture until the melted PVC fragments resolidify.
BIOMASS-DERIVED POLYMER COMPOSITE ANIMAL ROOST
An animal roost and a method of fabricating an animal roost are provided. The method includes operating a printhead having a nozzle to deposit a first layer of material through the nozzle. The first layer is one of a plurality of iteratively deposited layers of an additive build according to a three-dimensional computer model, such that the additive build is comprised of successive layers of the deposited material. The material is a biomass-derived polymer composite. The additive build forms the animal roost and includes a body having a top end and open bottom end and including front and rear walls that together define an internal volume. The additive build further includes one or more cantilevered leaves disposed within the internal volume and extending in a downward direction from the top end towards the bottom end. The one or more leaves partition the internal volume into a plurality of roosting enclosures.
