Fixed window assembly for a vehicle and method of manufacturing same

The subject invention includes a fixed window assembly for a vehicle comprising a fixed glass, a trim portion having a polymeric base and a decorative member bonded to the polymeric base. An encapsulation is coupled to the fixed glass and the polymeric base to mount the trim portion in a spaced and adjacent position relative to the fixed glass. A method of manufacturing is also provided using first and second molding apparatuses. Polymeric material is injected into a first mold cavity of the first molding apparatus to form the polymeric base bonded to the decorative member. Polymeric material is injected into a second mold cavity of the second molding apparatus to form the encapsulation coupled to the fixed glass and simultaneously coupled to the polymeric base to mount the trim portion in an adjacent position to the fixed glass.

Film mold and imprinting method

A film mold according to the present embodiment includes a first resin layer having a pattern region including a concavo-convex pattern and constituted by a resin composition, and a first glass substrate layer constituted by thin film glass and laminated on a surface on an opposite side to a surface on which the pattern region is formed in the first resin layer.

Apparatus and method for injection molding encapsulation

An injection mold for encapsulating a substrate comprises a lower mold component and an upper mold component adapted to form an encapsulation mold at an edge of the substrate when the upper mold component engages the lower mold component. The lower mold component comprises a substrate support and wherein the upper mold component comprises a recess. The injection mold includes a tiltable insert sized and shaped to slide within the recess to form a seal for the encapsulation mold, the insert having a substrate-contacting surface defining an area of the substrate contacted by the insert. The injection mold includes a plurality of pressure-exerting actuators connected to the tiltable insert and each being configured to independently apply pressure on the substrate via the insert, wherein the plurality of pressure-exerting actuators are adapted to equilibrate a total predetermined pressure exerted by the insert substantially evenly across the area of the substrate-contacting surface.

Four-point link and method for producing a four-point link

A four-point link for a vehicle includes a core element and a main laminate comprising a fiber reinforced plastics composite material, which wraps around the core element. The core element comprises four load-introducing elements and a foam core, and the four load-introducing elements (4) are connected by positive engagement to the foam core (5). The four-point link has four additional windings, wherein a respective additional winding wraps around a first, second, third and fourth load-introducing element and operatively connects a respective one of the latter to the main laminate. Compressive forces can be introduced into the main laminate (3) by means of every additional winding (6).

Resin case

Strength of a resin case is improved. A continuous fiber sheet includes a bottom surface portion which forms a bottom surface of the resin case, an erected wall portion which is erected from the bottom surface portion and forms a peripheral wall of the resin case, and a stepped portion in which the continuous fiber sheet connecting the bottom surface portion and the erected wall portion to each other is bent like steps along the peripheral wall. A resin member includes a rib portion which is bonded to the stepped portion and extends from the stepped portion toward an outer edge of the resin case.

HIGH-WHITENESS MGO SUBSTRATE, PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF AND DECORATIVE BOARD HAVING THE SUBSTRATE

The application discloses a high-whiteness MGO substrate, a preparation method thereof and a decorative board having the substrate. The high-whiteness MGO substrate includes a surface layer and a substrate, wherein the substrate is prepared from a forming agent, a lightweight filler, a modifier and water in parts by mass as follows: 40-49 parts of light burned magnesium oxide powder, 18-25 parts of magnesium sulfate heptahydrate, 16-25 parts of a polyvinyl alcohol solution, 16-20 parts of a plant powder, and 0.5-2 parts of a modifier; the modifier being obtained by mixing citric acid, phosphoric acid, and sodium sulfate in a mass ratio of 10:3:6.

Recycled composite materials and related methods

Methods of producing particles of fiber and resin from fiber-resin composite materials are disclosed. The particles may be combined with a resin system and optionally combined with fillers, binders or reinforcements to produce new cured solid composite products.
